The mushrooms and sherry cream sauce was amazing and so savory! Served with toast bread for dipping.

Go, Go, Go....... We were worried it would be crowded, and I'm sure it was later in the evening, but on a rainy Saturday afternoon we had the place to ourselves, except for the wonderful owner, and fantastic kitchen staff. Bacon wrapped Prunes with cheese, a heavenly Tuna with orange on an avocado mousse, fried peppers, iberian ham & Manchego,... More

Four of us went there before a concert. The place is fairly small, seating about 20 people including about 6 people at the bar. The decor is cozy and the food is Spanish tapas for sharing. Although the prices on the wine which is served in a small glass was a bit high for the volume of wine and some... More

This was a huge reminder of the time I was in Barcelona and it was just what we were looking for. It's small, but food is VERY good, good wine, and it gives you a real sense you're in a Spanish tapas bar. If you're looking for a traditional tapas experience then try this place. The menu items may seem... More

We recently returned for our 4th or 5th time and continue to love this place. It is always satisfying. We were a small group who went on a weekend and it was packed but luckily after only a bit of a wait we were able to score a spot at the bar. Watching the staff work so efficiently in such... More

We are so glad our friend recommended the Sardine Can. We sat at the bar and enjoyed tapas presented artistically and each one was a delight. Yum!!

The food was tasty and the staff were very relaxed. It was my first time ever having something like tapa and that gave me a very good description of what to expect

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
