We had 2 separate, but equally disappointing, visits to the Lamplighter. On both occasions we visited at lunch time, hoping for a drink & something to eat. So we arrived, I ordered a Caesar & my partner ordered a lager top - the waitress looked...More

We stopped in on a Friday night (well, also again on Saturday). As you can tell, we really liked it, hence the second visit. It was pretty full, but we did not feel crowded. The service was a bit slow the first time, but much...More

I was at the Lamplighter last night for the first time in 5 years and had a horrible experience with one of its staff members. I was sitting at a table with some friends for a birthday party when the table next to me smashed...More

The location is just next to one of the locations that you can't miss when you visiting Vancouver. The food is amazing I tried a cajun chicken sandwich the flavor and presentation was of another level. Tried wine and craft beer (a lot of options)...More

This was the first place I stopped when wandering around Gastown. I sat at the bar and visited with the bartender to get advice on beer and food. I don't remember his name but he had an Australian accent and was very knowledgeable on the...More

Choice of ales is impressive. Settled for Granville winter ale, strangefellows pale, sommersby cider, and magners. Plenty of sport screens as you’d expect, being home to MUFC supporters club. Happy hours service was friendly (and transparent ) Good atmosphere. A great find.

It was just garbage. It’s either the servers and bartenders didn’t have any regard for their customers, or they didn’t have a clue that they were working in a restaurant. I feel our party would have been better accommodated between the dumpsters in the back....More

This is the worst bar I have ever been to. I literally just downloaded the Yelp app to write a review for this place. What happened was me and a group of friends showed up looking for some beer and food. We ordered 2 beers...More

We had a very nice little dinner at The Lamplighter. The beer selection is the best I’ve seen in the area and probably better than most for a thousand miles. Nice, friendly, vaguely hipster beer crowd there too. There was a little delay initially getting...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

When we were there there were several different sporting events showing on different screens, so I'm sure that they would accommodate your request.

Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and retains its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and flatscreen TVs. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city’s busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare, a large selection of craft beer and cocktails, comprehensive sports programming, and talented DJs and live bands give the legendary Lamplighter its famed atmosphere.
