My partner and I decide to go here as he’d been here many years ago and said it was excellent. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation for that evening. It’s a smallplace with a very French flair. Lovely soft music playing in the...More

On a recent visit we chose this restaurant as it was well-rated and within walking of our hotel. The service was excellent. The owner and server were French and extremely accommodating. My companions ordered the duck breast, which they enjoyed very much. I ordered the...More

Met some friends for dinner here on a Saturday night as somewhere convenient for both couples. Could not find menu online beforehand, website is incomplete. Menu was not extensive but looked interesting. The elderly French waiter mentioned some specials in a very quiet, accented voice...More

We enjoyed the location, decor, and ambiance. The owner was very entertaining and friendly. Our appetizer was fantastic and well prepared, but not so much with the entrees. We may have hit it on an off night as it seems to have a loyal following.

Just back from dinner at this place and what a disaster. The waiter did not know how to make a French Martini! First red flag. Then the Escargot arrived and well presented but tasteless. They don't know how to season their food. My husband had...More

It had been 10 yrs since dining at Hermitage during which time Herve left the high rents and poor dinner crowd of Robson for the hip Main St. Area. So great to see him doing the same great job at FT. Having Gilles as our...More

Welcome to The French TableFormer Master Executive Chef Herve Martin is proud to present his newest eating establishment, The French Table. Nestled cosily in the Riley Park area on Main St & 23rd Ave, it’s a far away from the former Hermitage restaurant, which was a downtown staple on Robson Street for 24 years until last year. After the developer announced new plans, Herve patiently and rightfully re-located to an area that’s ripe for a surburban French cuisine in this up and coming, bustling area. The French Table still carries the tradition of its former self, especially with the outstanding first class servers, whom he successfully carried over but also has a modern flair. Clean lines, open room, first comes into mind when first stepping inside. Unlike the traditional white table cloths, Herve cleverly designed its logo under the glass tables bearing The French table signature, a very nice touch. Tables line the walls for best view of everything. You can select from a menu created by Master Chef Herve Martin and served in the traditional French style. The critically acclaimed wine list boasts one of the best selections of Burgundy wines in Vancouver and is highlighted with exclusive wines from the family winery in Chamilly, France.
