Cozy and warm after on a rainy day. Crowd is mid. Staff is friendly. And good location in the city. Bar wall adds a trendy touch to this hotel bar. Will be back

A recent after work drink brought us to UVA and happy to finally try it. Very, very good Moscow Mule - I'd order that again in a heartbeat. Fairly good wine selections by the glass / old world - new world. We also shared some dishes, all tasty and well prepared. I found the charcuterie and cheese plates on the... More

Whilst this bar is part of the Moda hotel, most people come in here who don't stay in the hotel. We came in here on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed happy hour - glass of red ($7) and a beer (can - $5). Very friendly service.

After reading all the great reviews, I expected a larger, trendier bar filled with the young and searching. Instead, I discovered a small, friendly cocktail lounge, attached to a boutique hotel. The bartender, Lilly, took care of my needy requests and mixed me a killer mescal cocktail. The intimate decor, of mostly black and red, gave UVA a sense of... More

We went there before a concert. Glad we did. We had a bottle of Blue mountain Brute, a glass of very good wine, and four dishes. Everything was wonderful. Good atmosphere, good service. Cost for two people $142. Reasonable and extremely enjoyable.

Came here for a late lunch and enjoyed the food, wine and Havana Club rum. Knowledgeable barkeeper, and the food was very good: crisp potatoes, arancini

Small venue with a calm atmosphere. Great for a quiet date night. Have a number of different wine flights which was fun to choose from. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Definitely recommended!

The wine bar character of Uva is secondary to its true essence as a cocktail lounge - and a really good one. We enjoyed the creations of two different mixologists that combined highly technical professional skills with artful inspiration. Ask for your favorite cocktail and you'll get what you ask for. Name a list of your preferred ingredients and flavor... More

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
