Went for a breakfast this morning and waited about 55 mins for a table. Cute place and delicious food. Our server Noel really made the experience though, she was friendly, outgoing and so great. Highly recommend!
We discovered Jame Cafe from Trip Advisor and having given up on queuing the first time around, we decided to queue for thirty minutes for breakfast.
Once seated, we ordered two vegetarian breakfasts with me having the veggie bowl, when it arrived I was surprised...More
We sought out Jam Café because it came up as the top rated breakfast spot in Vancouver. Well, it was pretty good. If I was staying in Gastown, I would definitely seek them out. But I am not sure they are worth a walk across...More
I've been to JAM before but this time took my son who is a University Student @ SFU. Warned him that on a Saturday or any given day for that matter one may have to line up, and line up we did. The line moves...More
Never queued for breakfast before so was expecting something fabulous, instead I was disappointed at what I paid for. Flavorless, dry and the server didn’t seem to care when I told her as much. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad day, but I certainly...More
It was our first time ever to have to queue for breakfast and it was worth every second. Went on a Monday morning and queues for half an hour. Breakfast and service were amazing. Unique flavours and dishes that I have never experienced before. Menu...More
I was on my own and had an extra day in Vancouver so I decided to check this place out. I’d heard so much about it and it didn’t disappoint! I was lucky that I didn’t have to wait too long since I was solo...More

With the recent exodus of massive new building projects hitting the neighbourhood, Chinatown; which has always been one of the city's most vibrant areas; is even more buzzing and buoyant than ever before. Playing host to some of the city's best pan-Asian cuisine, from fusion food to traditional home-cooking, Chinatown has remained faithful to its roots as a space which clambers with shop signs and welcomes
diners to the table. More that that, it has a hip experimental vibe to it, with trendy pop-ups and catchall market shops. The biggest of Canada's Chinatowns, it is also home to an expansive Chinese garden whose manicured grounds inspire and delight, its ponds and pagodas drawing walkers in for an stroll. Take in the red streetlights, the playful awnings, and the upbeat air that suffuse this area.
