Excellent food. I love the Chicken Curry, the rest of my family love the Shovel Burger. Big portions!! Nice seating area for families. Good beer. Great place.

Was in rossland for a night and my planned accommodation at an airbnbn fell through. I saw this place and decided to stop in and see if they had room. The room rate was very reasonable. The standard room had two beds that were separated...More

We visited the restaurant on a recommendation from a local we met at Red Mountain. It appeared to be mostly locals in the restaurant, which is always a good sign. They have a large selection of beers and wines and provide a list to make...More

This is a local's favorite. If you want to try a massive burger, you should get the John Candy Burger. Just as a heads up, get your napkin ready and make sure that once you pick it up, don't put it back down. This is...More

The Steam Shovel is better than the Rockcut. The service is quicker, the food is more consistent, there's better parking, and they occasionally have live music. They serve tasty fries, and there are a few cool ghost stories that go along with the building.

INteresting and jovial place. Pool tables and local bar game - Neglin- enhanced the experience. Very good pub food!

We returned here 3 times in a week, good locals atmosphere, good happy hour but a good menu with great staff. Friendly and professional and a busy and bustling pub. See you again soon.

The food was good and it's obviously a popular location based on how busy it was on a Sunday evening. Service was only okay.

I've been there a couple of times and never strayed far from the burgers and beer. They have a reasonably good burger that might be a little pricey but what do you think your going to get in a resort town.
