Poor on all sides

Upon entry the doors and handles were very dirty - Covid people get with the program. The décor was tired, shabby and unkept.. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff serving all tables were unable to answer questions and /or speak...English so our waiter was running off his feet. You order using an iPad which I'm not sure if it was disinfected between customers so did creep me out a bit. The food was very average and most dishes were in a sauce or batter. However, the rolls we had were ok. Yes all you can eat for $30 but I would rather spend that on a good steak or fish and chips. Hopefully they'll consider the reviews and do a little upgrading. We won't go back.More

Excellent value

Rarely get to enjoy sushi in a buffet setting. Pleasantly surprised by the variety, service and quality. Will return.

You get what you pay!

All-you-can-eat as you all know, is for big eaters and probably don't really care about the food quality. We've tried Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurants in Vancouver and Richmond, and they are better than this Tokyo 1 as far as food quality is concerned. C$30.99 (Aug. 2020),...is a good price and has a huge selection of food although the quality was a bit poor. Sitting was ok, service was ok, and social distancing was practiced here. Not much more can I comment.More

Great discovery in kelowna!!

Tried this place based on my all you can eat japanese food search while on vacation with my family in kelowna..dinner was 30 bucks for an adult which doesnt include drinks but has a bunch of options from rolls,sashimi,teriyaki and tempura.lots of options for desert...too unlike the common mango pudding,jello or ice cream you get in the metro vancouver area.food quality was great and the prawn tempura was done right,perfect batter to prawn ratio!! The interior of the resto was very modern and the staff were highly attentive and polite..id definitely go back when in kelowna next time.More

Tokyo 1 is awesome

Tokyo 1 is an amazing good dining place for a couple or a group of friends. The food is really good and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend it!

Gross

First of all, food was really sub par. My friend pulled a long hair from inside her sushi roll. The waitress was very rude. The washroom and specifically the hand dryer was absolutely disgusting! I asked for the bill, not having mentioned a word. The...bill was given to me after the amount was punched into the machine and the machine slammed down in front of me with the waiter only then asking if I was going to pay by debit. He walked away. I paid by card but again, very rude! Never ever going back.More

Deep clean

We used to love going here. I won’t go back. There were piles of dust everywhere. Spiderwebs hanging off the shades. I had two plates covered in cooked on food. There was debris all over the floor. We waited forever for service and there were...only 14 people there. Nope. Not going back......ever.More

Good service, average food

The service is good at this restaurant but the food is average at best. For Japanese food it is not as good as most of the Japanese restaurants in Kelowna or Penticton. There is a good selection but, nothing really stands out where you would...say "Wow, that's good". All is average at best.More

It’s possible but if you have any severe allergies I recommend contacting the owner first. Keep in mind this is a place which specifically has a very large selection and mixture of foods.
