Two enthusiastic thumbs way up on all counts. I've heard rumours that Lamplighter is closing though. Sad :(

Hello, thank you for your kind words, I am glad you had a positive experience. My husband and I are closing the restaurant to take a well deserved extended time off, after owning and running the Lampliter for 20 years.

This place is a gem! They are retiring at the end of December, and booking fast! Everything was excellent from the Caesar salad to the grilled sockeye salmon (go for the potato side!) to the chocolate mousse torte. We plan to visit again before they...More

We came here for dinner and had a delicious dinner. We ordered the Maple Hills Farm Chicken hazelnut and smoked Gruyere stuffing and the B.C. Snapper with Bay scallops. Both of us weren't disappointed. The roast chicken was done perfectly with the meat being moist....More

Thank you Melanie for your review, you describe perfectly what Lampliter is all about: fresh food, attentive and caring service, cozy ambience. One small detail: the slightly vinegar taste you detected in the potato strudel comes from the sour cream we use to keep it...More

Thought we would try this place on our walk around the town. Smaller menu but the sandwiches sounded great. The Fort Langley sandwich was SOOO GOOD. The chicken salad was really nice and tender mixed with a light garlic, cranberry mayo on a fresh baguette....More

The Lampliter has foods for all tastes. My favourite meal is the Tuscan steak, cooked perfectly with potato strudel, accompanied with fresh vegetables. Bread pudding for dessert! The servers are very attentive and loads of fun. Home away from home. They also make the best...More

After almost 20 years welcoming you to our restaurant, cooking tasty dishes and creating a relaxed and warm ambience, it is time for Paul to hang his chef’s jacket and for Nicoletta her black apron and say Goodbye to what has been our second home for such a long time. The last day will be DECEMBER 31st, 2017, ending on a high note with a New Year’s Eve celebration. We couldn’t have achieved all that we did without the help of our great, hard-working, loyal, dedicated, thoughtful employees! We wish them all the best for their future. Thank you to all of our friends and customers for their support of “Refined Country Cooking” and making us feel part of the community since day one. To those who haven’t tried the Lampliter yet there is still a short window of opportunity to see what it has been about. Nicoletta and Paul
