Had stopped at The Raptor Center near Duncan and thought we would check out Bonnie Martin's on our way back north through Chemainus. My partner had the Won Ton Soup that is a specialty and found it very good. I was feeling very hungry so I tried the Bonnie Martin Burger-Chicken Curry combo. My burger was one of the best... More

This is a good restaurant. The only fault is he needs to hire more help. Took over 15 minutes to take our order for drinks and food. You really need to hire more help, especially for special days like Mother's Day. Better Planning please!!!!!!!

My daughter, her two little boys and I went to this restaurant for dinner one Saturday after we'd completed our shopping. We didn't realize until we were there that the feature on Saturday is Chinese food. We ordered the special and it was delicious . We got a small bowl of rice for my grandson and it was nice, too.... This is a casual small restaurant that has good food and is a favourite of the locals, but what keeps me going back again and again is their absolutely outstanding Wor Wonton Soup!! It is a very large bowl full of perfectly cooked veggies - broccoli, snow peas, and carrots, accompanied by delicious large wontons, some beautiful large prawns, and... More

Left my glasses behind after a delicious breakfast. Bonnie Martin owners went to great lengths to help me get them back. Wow. Nice folks.

I was craving a fish sandwich, and not a deep-fried version, this place hit the mark. Good though not outstanding grilled halibut sandwich, and at a very fair price. I was amused at the clientele - I am in my mid 40's and every customer was 60 and up. Obviously it is popular with a certain crowd. Service was friendly... More

Read the reviews and needed to try the wor won ton. Tasted very good. A large order can put you over the top. The restaurant is not much to look at. Old style decor and stuff everywhere. Friendly service with a smile although be it pretty slow. A steady stream of take out orders and people coming in. Reasonable pricing.... More

Bonnie Martin Restaurant in Chemainus has been there almost forever. Great Home style Cooking, both Western and Chinese. A lot of restaurants on Vancouver Island claim to have the best Won Ton soup going but by far the Bonnie Martin tops them all. Go for the soup if nothing else. And when you're finished dinner, you probably won't have room... More

A small town style 50-60s family restaurant offering a good variety of Canadian and Chinese foods. Liver and onions to wanton soup, all excellent and served by the nicest folks.
