After the girl at the counter rolled her eyes at us twice we knew we were in for a treat. Had breakfast, not bad for the price. A couple of sloppy eggs with ham on a bun. Coffee was terrible. Baked goods were average (sort of) a few ended in the trash bin, they were certainly not fresh. They call... More

What a wonderful find in Chemainus, The home made baking, and sandwiches make for a great lunch stop or get to take out. The quiche and sausage rolls are a great small snack. If you feel like something more substantial, then try the chicken club and soup. Wow filling. This bakery will be a must stop on every trip.

Staff at the museum recommended this place for coffee, but we could not tell if the Americano was coffee or tea :) The baked goods looked delicious, but we were only looking for coffee at this time, so would recommend trying another place if looking for just caffeine.

Utopia is en route on our annual vacation to Tofino and is a great pit stop to and from the ferry to Vancouver. Go for the apple beignets - they are unbelievable! But so is everything from their sausage rolls to their quiches to their gluten free breads? All served with a smile. Highly recommended.

If you enjoy European bakes, this is the place for you. Very pleasant place with a little historical history outside. You can eat in or out on the patio.

We stopped in after reading the great reviews, for a pastry. We were the only ones in there and the girl behind the counter seemed annoyed that she had to wait on us, let alone answer any questions. Our 2 pastries weren't anything special, hard to tell if they were even freshly made that day.

This bakery is tucked around the corner across the street from the Waterwheel parking lot. However, if you are doing the murals trek you will find it right away. They have gluten free options and some of the best raisin bread ever! If you want a nice cup of tea and a sweet to get you going this is the... More

Excellent selection of baked goodies and variety of coffees. Very pleasant small seating area outside and enjoyed the friendly staff and customers. Ideal location to just relax with good food. Does have wifi, but a bit slow if your on the covered outside deck.

What a pleasant surprise - excellent pastries - buttery and flaky with awesome variety - try the macaroons and danish pastries.

Great place to stop while viewing all the murals. A lot of Dutch influence with the pastries. Soup and sandwich lunch specials, Glueten free items.

Thank Bunchkin
