Great food and variety offered, large selection of beer and wine with a beautifully decorated dining area and bar.

Put reviews for the Tonquin Inn (the motel) under TONQUIN INN, not here. Put reviews for Prime Rib City (the restaurant) under PRIME RIB CITY. They are next to each other.

Pool okay not great. Rooms are small but nicely laid out. Y fi okay. Can almost stream a movie. The doors don't seal very well so there is a serious draft coming in the closed door. Nice tv, lots of hot water, the plugin work for block heater, coffee machine , kettle for tea, and a nice little fridge.

For the rates charged in Jasper you expect a certain degree of quality. While there was nothing technically wrong with the room, it is getting tired - years of sub-standard repairs and renos show. Time to send a couple bucks here and do some real work. I expect always that rooms are overpriced in Jasper - but some give you... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Tonquin Inn so stopped in at the Prime Rib City for our dinner the first night. We didn't have to wait for seating and were seated at a table in the comfortable sun room lounge area under the large windows - perfect view. We both had the Prime Rib Sandwich, done medium rare, -... More

Chicken was over cooked, Buffalo was under cooked. Asked them to take the onions off the Buffalo and the cook didn't. Was sick afterwards. MANDATORY TIPS are also put onto the bills. They did remove after requesting it be removed. For our first meal in Jasper we weren't impressed.

We ordered the full buffet which was ok. We weren't happy with them adding their own tip without asking.

We stayed 2nights on a tour. Our room was very warm and it was conveyed to the front desk. They indicated it was fixed and it was not. We dealt with another warm night in our room. The breakfast was very good and the service was good. It was an average stay.

When we visited Jasper this summer, it was packed and rooms were hard to come by. We stayed at the Tonquin but each day we had to move and were in three different rooms / suites like nomads in the same place ! But it was a lot of fun. Each suite had a kitchenette which comes in handy if... More
