We love to get certain items from here. Unfortunately, it really depends on if the good chef is working. Our favorite things are the Deep fired squid, African chicken, and house rice.

This Sai Woo Restaurant is the best place to get their deep fried calamari. No one, and I mean no one can do it like them. Light, flaky, almost like tempura, the secret recipe was pass down from owner to owner to keep serving this dish to Edmonton. Some weekends and especially holidays, this place gets packed. Reservations recommended to... More

Ordered from here based on reviews the place was amazing. No menu available online so we mainly ordered what people had said was "the best in town." Calamari: yes, the texture was good and it wasn't greasy, but it had no flavour. The "hot sauce" was not hot, and that was the only flavour on it. We may as well... More

This is one of the best restaurants in town for late night food after boozing it up. Get some Black Pepper Beef and Deep Fried Calamari with some Shanghai Noodles and Tsing Tao to wash it all down.

the Wor wonton is great, with big mushrooms, shrimp, calamari, etc..... The fried calamari is crispy, golden and good. House fried rice, crispy chicken and the Szechwan beef are great.only detractors are the premise is gross, dirty carpets, walls dripping with grease, a very dirty fish tank for the fish you pick and they cook, and the bathrooms are very... This restaurant has been a mainstay on Edmonton’s Chinatown. A few owners changed but they remain the same as their menu serves many dishes most of us are used to. Recently renovated, the restaurant is brighter. This restaurant was a hidden gem for many years, then word got out of the delicious culinary treats served and its no longer a... More

The Wonton soup is the best, with calamari, shrimp, mushrooms and the works. The house friend rice, Szechuan beef and lemon chicken and sweet n sour pork are also great. Very great food, good service and a fair to good setting. The restaurant could use a paint job or facelift. But the Food is Awesome and always done right.

Just ignore the decor and atmosphere and enjoy the food. The food Is great and that is all that matters at this place. The African chicken is a real unique dish I have to have everytime I go there.

Great food and very definitely value for money. Whilst the restaurant's deco was a bit out dated, the foods have more than made up for it. Restaurant was not mega busy for Thursday night, there were a number of large table (15 people plus) there but that didn't effect the speed of our orders arriving in good time. Service was... More
