Ate here on a Tuesday which happened to be all you can eat tacos. The ambiance of Salt & Pepper reminds me of a few places I ate in Mexico. The food the taco was a corn taco that was nice over the western wheat taco. Tried all three types beef, chicken and chorizo (chorizo was spicy) my favourite was... More

Almost didn't eat here because of the outside appearance but decided to give it a go and we weren't disappointed! Our food came within a reasonable timeframe, it was hot and very tasty!! We will eat here again when in Calgary.

This is the best Mexican in Calgary. Go to the one on MacLeod. It's the best location. The food is so authentic. The Taco Tuesday special is the best. It's all you can eat tacos and is worth the trip for the most most amazing taco experience of your Canadian life. The enchiladas and margaritas are awesome too!! I will... More

For the 4 of us we ordered: Combinacion Poblana, Las Enchiladas Pollo, Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, Chorizo Fundido, Azteca Sopas, and Tomate & Aguacate Ensaladas. Friday Caesars are only $3.15. House wine was fine. Service was good, we were there right at 5:00 when they opened. Portions a large and priced the same as other good restaurants in Calgary... More

Recently I had a chance to go to Salt & Pepper on Macleod Trail. This tiny Mexican restaurant offered 5 tables and an equal sized fenced patio. It was nice with the large umbrellas, however extremely noisy due to the constant traffic (so we opted for indoors). Our guests conversed with the bartender in Spanish for some of the harder... This was my first time eating here, and I only did so because we bought an on-line deal. The food quality was only so so. The rice tasted microwaved, and not fresh. The waitress was not friendly at all, and we felt like we were bothering her, not cool. The portions are small, so not a great value at all.... More

We had a quick business dinner there on March 30 and we found the food, service, and quaint little restaurant all good. The chips to start were good and the mole was very good.

After almost 30 years since I first ate here the food was good, The man serving us was the original owners son. He was friendly, the food good and fresh. The closest to authentic Mexican food I've found.

Visited again for lunch today. Service was good......but only because I was the only customer from noon until 1.15pm (according to the server). Sounds like this place is in a sad way. No customers = no business. The food has never been outstanding, but now it may be in terminal decline. Either they shake it up and invest a lot... More

Hello, it was a busy lunch time and with one server we ended up being late for our next meetings. Food was fine when if came out , price is quite high for what it is mind you. With a huge recession on in Calgary I don't know why some restaurants bump prices, when the prices are already too high... More
