Was walking by and decided to try this place. The service from our waitress Rachel was excellent and you can tell she enjoys working there. Meal was very tasty. Definitely not quiet cozy place to eat like other reviews have said. Only half full and very loud. Not recommend if you are looking for quiet and cozy and want to... More

Great food, attentive service, and cozy atmosphere, what can I ask more? We had Braised Pork Arancini to start. It was an interesting dish with "maple kimchi." Kimchi tasted a little sour. I got Gnocchi Poutine. I really liked the rich taste of gnocchi, cheese and shreds of 24-hour braised elk meat. Elk has a distinct taste. It is kind... More

We had an amazing server, Claire who helped us pick our order. Awesome customer service and the food was top notch. My husband and I weren't overly hungry so we shared the gnocchi poutine and charcuterie board. Delish! We will visit again.

Our family visited The Bison on a week night after a long day of Spring skiing. We called in advance to make a reservation and we did not experience any issues or delays. Our server Eddy was super nice, respectful and friendly. She was knowledgable of the menu as well. Their Winter salad was a perfect opening for a great... More

This restaurant is open for brunch only on Sundays. Oh boy, let me tell you that it is worth waiting for. Service and food seems to always meet expectations. This time I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and I believe I found my Bison favorite dish. Order sausage on the side. It will not be disappointing.

All of our courses were absolutely lovely, and our waitress was very friendly and offered great service, offering advice and helping on portion size. The only down side was the restaurant was so noisy but maybe we picked a hectic time. Really worth going however as the food is fabulous.

Firstly an apology, I rather expect that reviews on American style restarant's are all about the size of the steak as to whether they are good or not. We came to the Bison on a recommendation and we are so pleased we did. The welcome great, the layout of the restaurant rustic but tasteful. The server a chap named John... More

The restaurant was very busy when 4 of us came for our last night in Banff. Lively, buzzy place. Its a large dining venue. Three of us ordered the Atlantic cod and one ordered bison ribs. We had to wait a long time for the food. The fish dishes all came with cold veggies, so we had to wait while... More

We visited the restaurant during our recent trip from Scotland and were blown away by the delicious food. We had the escargot and bone marrow and also scallops as starters. We then had steak and the burger. These tasted so amazing. We shared a baked Alaska as pudding. The wine list was extensive. It was great to see the chefs... More
