These hand shaped and fried to order pastry with your choice of toppings are delicious! We shared one and they were kind enough to split the toppings on each half. A great Canadian tradition.

On the "when in Rome" principle, we were seeking Canadian culinary treats. The cinnamon and sugar beaver tail (yes, it's flat) was about like a donut and okay. The poutine lost the desired effect by using cold gravy, not melting the cold curds or warming the room temperature fries that had been around for a time--and for $9. Order at... More

Was recommended, tried it and was impressed. Something different, quite tasty. Sugar and cinnamon was kind of plain but would have it again.

They were already closing but still accommodated my order since I walked in 5 mins before they closed... they never rushed me and thanked me for coming in.. I was very thankful to them since we came out of town and I did apologize for not knowing they close already.

They bring out a ball of dough, roll it into the beaver tail shape, deep fry it, then add your favourite toppings, with many to choose from. I like nutella & banana on one half and cinnamon sugar with lemon on the other half. I first went here a few years ago, they were thick and flaky and delicious, but... More

Well, you have to have at least one beaver tail when you're here!! Don't expect anything fancy and don't count on seating... be prepared to wait a little while. So long as you're patient, you'll have a good time! My husband and I tried the maple and the cheesecake flavor on one beavertail and shared it. Honestly, I could have... More

I had heard about Beavertails as a must-try dessert place in Banff and I was not disappointed. The pastry was flaky and delicious and the toppings were very difficult to choose between as they all sounded so good! I went with a cheesecake option whilst my husband tried the Oreo. Sitting out in the winter cold, chowing down on these... More

A beaver tail is a prime Canadian treat. They've gotten very expensive though(maybe just Banff?) but always worth it

It was good but overpriced. They had poutines for $9!! That's crazy! I think my two beaver tails were almost $14 and we didn't even finish them because they were way too big for one person to eat each. They also didn't have seating which in winter was stupid as we had to stand and scarf it down off to... More
