What an amazing restaurant set in the picturesque village of Beeley. I found the staff to be very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and how the products were locally sourced. A lovely range of wines to suit anyone's requirements. The food is amazing and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. I believe they... More

We have often called here for a drink after a walk etc. Called in today. Only seating available was in the bar. This area is so uninviting and unattractive. The chairs and tables are incredibly worn and the whole area needs attention. It didn't draw me into wanting to eat here. Tables weren't cleared. Shame as they certainly know how... More

Everything is in the details. This beautiful hostelry can do better and has done in the past. A lunchtime booking(we were the only ones, the rest were walk ins.) was tarnished by the smallest things which places like this with these prices should get right every time. The pub was cold. Despite big log burning stoves in ancient fireplaces, they... More

Stopped here en route to Baslow as we were looking for a traditional village pub. On arrival we were whisked to a table. We thought we could leisurely order a drink at the bar and peruse a lunch menu but this was not the case. Seems like food takes priority and this place is trying its hand at fine dining.... More

We have never ever had such a disgusting meal in our life. The mozzarella & hummus starters were totally tasteless. The beef & lamb main course were absolutely horrible. The beef dry and like shoe leather. The lamb we couldn't even try it looked so bad. The potatoes hard the courgettes blue inside the Yorkshire pudding dry as dust. We... More

The food was OK, but because the service was far too fast and imprecise, our experience was indifferent. They seem to be living off their name rather than the quality of service. I would think twice about visiting any branded Devonshire establishments. Perhaps they need to think about the quality of what they offer individuals. Saying they could not provide... More

This is a great pub and restaurant, not cheap but of a high standard, definitely worth a visit if you are in the Chatsworth area. The food is five star and the service first rate, friendly and efficient. I will be going there again!

Love this place. Consistently good food and the atmosphere always good. We have eaten in both the bar area and the restaurant and both equally as good. Would highly recommend

Had an evening meal here the staff were pleasant and attentive. The food looked very pretty but didn't taste as good as expected, had the open vegetarian lasagna, I think the sauce needs some attention as this was a bit bland, served with a salad which was nice and could say that on the menu, the fish and chips were... Called in here with my sister and brother in law and partner with our two sausage dogs for a late lunch. Passed a couple of relaxing hours after a long walk with the dogs. The staff very welcoming. Lovely log burner. Very cosy. Great decor. Quite modern but it didn't look out of place. Bucket chairs. Would definitely go again
