I went there craving for a nice dessert and all I got was 5 sliced flavourless strawberries with a super tiny pot of average molten chocolate for 60 pesos. This, in Mexico buts you 2 kilos of nice strawberries and a decent bar of chocolate. My terrible dessert took ages to arrive btw.

This place was highly recommended to me by locals, and it is absolutely worth a visit. They serve artisanal chocolate prepared hot or cold, with water or milk and your choice of add-in (cinnamon, vanilla, chili pepper, mint, etc.). They also serve crepes and tamales. The place is very small, and because everything is prepared traditionally, you might have to... More

We went here twice in the six days we were in Aguascalientes as the chocolate was delicious, some of the best I've ever had. The waiter was attentive, answered our questions and offered advice. I highly recommend this chocolate shop!!

Xocolatl is one of those increasingly rare places that really cares about their product. They sell various chocolate drinks and chocolate-based food, both hot and cold drinks, plus ice cream. Prices are low-medium. The young men working there are great to talk with, and the food and drinks are really delicious. This restaurant is only one block along Nieto from... More

I had visited them at least ten times in the evening, when the city cools down there is no other place you will want to be. Discover it!

Nice little chocolate shop in the very center of the city. Serves traditional hot and craft chocolate, you can even feel the cocoa bean pieces. The chocolate tamal is just awesome, and you won´t find it anywhere else in Aguascalientes. If you are into Huichol Art, outside the place, you will find a family selling beautiful and original pieces of... More

Great place to pick up some great chocolate to take home. Recommend getting the sticks with sugar if you are going to give them to Americans.
