This place is situated right by the sea, and there is also a terrace facing the sea, which would have been a lovely place to sit. Unfortunately, the terrace was closed when we went to have dinner here. The atmosphere was lively and quite busy,...but unlike one might think, most people seemed to eat basically just pizza (the big hit seemed to be meter-long pizzas), which gave a little pale impression of their reputation as a serious seafood restaurant. However, we had frittata and some tonno scottata, along with some pizza and salads, and it wasn't bad at all. But the quality was still a bit away from a really good seafood place, and the prices were not that low either to balance, so perhaps next time I would choose another spot. But like I said - not bad - and perhaps the best choice there right now could be the pizza, after all..More

Big portions, Italians eat 3 courses, but after the pasta course I was stuffed. Need to order side dishes with main course.

If you want fresh fish, great pasta and a scenic view, this is the place to choose. There is a good range of choices on the menu with shellfish being their speciality. Try the mussels!

From the little town of Copertino, Italy, drive west to the beach: Sant'Isidoro. You will see the ocean, the sand, and BluMare Restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch there.

My contractor took me here: the minute the water of the bay came into view I felt like a million bucks! emerging from a few cold March weeks, full sun, gorgeous blue water: and into Blu Mare. Simple tastefully constructed beachside tent, protected us from...wind but the view as just so relaxing! Our friendly server brought us water and the nice local rose. We order fresh sea urchins first time for me and a basket of homemade bread, multigrain. Yummy. Then we have mixed seafood salad: everything on the Futta di Mare was soft, flavorful and easy to eat! 2 of us ate off each platter. Then they all ordered linguine with sea urchin, (an acquired taste) and for me they suggest fresh Gallipoli shrimps with linguine and crushed pistachios. Excellent! flavorful, sweet and very so slightly spicey or as they say, "saporito". Loved this unassuing place, no glam but they deliver the goods! will surely be back.More
