We happened to eat here before we read the 'Best of Puerto Escondido' list but I have to say that the breakfast is pretty darn good. There are great Mexican dishes here and mine was great. Chips, beans, chicken.... Sorry, I can't remember the name of it but it was good. Hubby had the surfers special and the pancakes were... More

My wife and I traveled the Oaxacan Coast for 15 days. On our last day there, we had breakfast at Dan's, and I decided fish tacos would be a fitting last meal. Dan's tacos were as good or better than any I had the entire trip. Everything coming out of the kitchen, which was right in front of us, looked... More

We have been in PE for about a month and Dan's was the first restaurant we went to for breakfast our second day here. We met, Dan, the owner, who is just a very friendly and helpful man. Also met his very nice daughter Kaitlan and her daughter, Luna. You can tell that it is a very family-friendly, surfer, tourists... More

The breakfast choice is big from omelets to pancakes, including both Mexican and international cuisine. Very cosy spot, big selection of fresh juices, big plates (at least those with eggs), free wifi, cosy atmosphere. The prices are also very adequate for the area. Go their for breakfast! You won't regret it. The food is simple, but delicious and very filling.

I also had a fish burger which was delicious....great substantial meal. Lots of surfers & surfer attire. They have a ping pong table, TV....lots of Aussies. Their chicken stir fry looked awesome. Loads of vegetables. All of the food that came out of the kitchen was delicious. I like it better than cafecito BUT, the food takes a while to... More

Had heard about how wonderful this place was, breakfast was OK, nothing more, however there was this little annoying fellow that hangs around and goes by the name Gallettero, what a piece of work this little dweeb is. They should show him the door, perhaprs more customer would come in, but I heard he is Dan's inlaw, so probably wont.

Wonderful, healthy options. I had the fruit salad deluxe every day and the half-portion is well-priced and delicious! Fish tacos on Fridays and the weekend...

Good food and juice. Good every time I went, a little walk but worth it. Good staff. I had traditional Mexican fare and green juice all of it was good.
