We had the Chile en Nogada dish as we were there during the festival. It was amazing !!! Great wine and food. Lovely live music. It has an open roof that is covered with a tarp so it did mist a little bit during a torrential downpour outside.

It`s place in a renovated colonial house, with a twist of modern design. Food and service is very good. Try the entries, and ask for recomendations of chef. Sure you will get surprise,

Large breakfast buffet plus menu. Excellent choices and delicious food. Smiling ,friendly efficient staff. All watched over by a beautiful, gigantic ceramic Mexican woman. Hence the name..... If you travel to Puebla, do not miss it.

Ok, so I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to write one for this place. I grew up in Puebla, and always heard stories about the famous China Poblana. My mother (as a child) often walked by this mansion in hopes to get a peek at the interior whenever the great wooden carved doors were left open.... More

We did not stay at the hotel but came here specifically for the brunch. It opened at 0800 in the morning and we came around 0830. It must have been too early for other travelers because we were the only ones there. Great variety of food that showcased the city specialties of Puebla. The hotel/restaurant is the old house of... Dropped by Casona resto for breakfast, after finding the place where we ate yesterday was closed. The food was delicious, the ambience great and the service was just amazing. It was not very busy, which may account for the great service, but one of the waiters went out of his way to engage and look after us. The prices were... More

I was most disappointed with my Chile en Nogado. Perhaps it's regional, but I expected a ground meat filling and mine was filled with what looked like a bean mixture. Also, the poblano chile was very heavily breaded. Not worth $170.

Very nice terrace with shadow and very quiet. Service is great and friendly. Waiters know the menu and are able to make recommendations. Restaurant is a little bit pricey but it worth to do the stop once. Compared to other places/countries, prices are very reasonable for high quality food. Mole poblano and chile in Nogada are great. Also the traditional... More

We went to la China Poblana today per the suggestion of my host family here in Puebla. We wanted to try the chiles en Nogada. Our server was so nice, and the food came out surprisingly quickly. I enjoyed the restaurant and would definitely return!

I really had a delicious meal, with food typical of the place but interpreted in a sophisticated way, very well presented, rich and abundant. The atmosphere is very nice as the restaurant is in an old colonial house and the owner is charming. The price is good for what you get
