So delicious! You have to wait because it's usually busy but it worth it! I always order a Brings and tacos al pastor, and of course I can't miss my agua de horchata!

Good cheap tacos. They can be hit or miss with getting you a nice slice of pineapple on their al pastor tacos. When done right, the get 4 stars, but I have probably had 25 al pastor tacos from las ranas and about 20% were missing the pineapple.

You will see a vertical spit spinning al pastor, looking much like shawarma. By all means order an al pastor taco, a delight for a mere 8 pesos. But for me the highlight was a dish of chorizo and cheese with accompanying tortillas. Not the place for a romantic meal, but it is fun, tasty, friendly, and cheap.

We enjoyed our lunch here. It was very busy and we had the last available table but the atmosphere was fun and enhanced by passing musicians and the sight of meat grilling on the large spits at front of all the crowded tables. Food was very easy to order for none Spanish speakers as just needed to tick off on... More

Very busy place, filled with locals so quite excited. The food was really tasty, and despite how busy they were service was quick. It's not a pretty place, and very loud. But good for a pit stop to refuel. Reasonably priced.

This is a quick, cheap and cheerful place to grab some tacos for lunch. They salsas, tacos, service is all great. This is a no frills place if you look from the outside, but the food is very tasty and some of the nicest tacos we have had in 8 weeks around Mexico.

This is definitely worth a visit for lunch. It's like entering a whizzing carousel—tables teeming with people, waiters racing about, musicians playing in one corner, Samurai chefs shaving meat in a row as you walk in. All the food is good, but beware: the portions are HUGE.

Just really, really good tacos. Super salsas, great service, amiable atmosphere. Cochinita pibil as good as I've ever had. Wonderful, flavorful tacos. A step up from street food in atmosphere, and as good as it gets in this type of cuisine. A super choice if you want to have a taste of authentic local cuisine.

We tried Las Ranas for lunch, and arrived between noon and 12:30pm. There was no wait and we went straight in. We had the Arabes with pita bread (we don't care for tortillas) and much enjoyed them. We also had two portions of onions....delicious, but one plate between two would have been enough. Service was prompt and helpful, with the... More

We had dinner at Las Ranas twice and very much enjoyed all the food: Queso fundido with Chorizo was great, Arachera and Alambres were excellent. Portions were hughe, everything comes with the usual trimmings and tortillas and everything at a very reasonable price. We were with two and did not manage to finish two main dishes! The place has a... More

It is located just around the corner of the street 5 de Mayo in Puebla (the most important walking street) It is 2 restaurants.. one right across the other.
They specialize in tacos but they serve a few other dishes too.
It is by far the best tacos in the city and I have invited friends from Greece, Norway and all over Mexico and everyone loves them so I can't understand why they aren't listed in tripadvisor yet. They are the best known tacos in the city I am sure
