After having amazing vegetarian and vegan food in Mexico City, I was reallyyyyyy disappointed. The buffet was lukewarm and the food was mushy and tasteless. We didn't even finish our plates, just paid and left. Honestly, with food like this I can understand why people think eating vegetarian is hard, it was gross.

This place is a welcome relief from the majority of places in Mexico which are very meat-heavy. Youll find better Mexican food (chiles rellenos, gorditas etc) elsewhere, but there was a good cauliflower and potato curry, a salad bar and fruit, yoghurt (albeit sweetened) and granola in the dessert bar.

After days in Mexico 🇲🇽, one can only have so much tamales and 🌮. So needless to say that I was overjoyed 😁 when I came across La Zanahoria 🥕(The Carrot 🥕) The food was excelente 👍🏼. I opt for the buffet which had just enough variety to choose from: salad 🥗 bar, plenty of dessert 🍨 , and drink... More

The buffet had great variety, from salads and hot entrees to desserts. However, I was a very careful gringa, eating only things that were cooked or peeled, so I didn't eat a lot of the salad items. But what I had was all quite tasty.

Good place, with enough variety of dishes to be full just by tasting a bit of each. All very tasty (even for a non-vegetarian).

Went because lonely planet recommends it for vegeterians. The food was honestly the worst I've had in a while. Soup was almost ok, and my main dish was unedible.

I highly recommend to try this vegetarian buffet. I went there on Saturday brunch with my friends. Something like 100 pesos (if I remember correctly ).

What a find for a healthy lunchtime meal and amazing value for money. 89Mxn for the buffet, which had over 10 hot choices, lots of salads, a soup, an array of desserts, and juice. We returned the following lunchtime and enjoyed it a second time around.

After eating what feels like only meat and tortillas for weeks, this place is a welcome change. The lunchtime buffet is great value at 84 pesos. Good selection of salads, soup, a range of cooked dishes, desserts as well as bread rolls and juice of the day. The restaurant is also housed in atmospheric courtyard building. Staff are friendly and... More

La Zanahoria is a good choice for vegetarians or if you want to take a break from meat. I was in town attending the Spanish Institute of Puebla and I think I ate there a little too often. I usually chose the buffet because the salad bar is quite good and the fruit/dessert bar is good as well. The entres... More
