Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Drink, swim, hike, repeat. Watched the kids playing on the beach. Drank some very good local beers. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Tried to serve irish coffee with hardly a tea spoon of whisky, must ve thought we were an off season tourist who wouldn't know the difference, owner ,yes the owner himself committed the fowl deed ,told him of my background in the drinks industry and...told him to put a proper measure of whisky into the irish coffee, in fairness he did ,but it left a horrible feeling, at 7.50 €, do you really have to resort to cheap cheap tricks , it makes me wonder what other things are they doing to cheat peopleMore

I do not normally review restaurants etc but I thought that this business deserves to be recognised for its offering. I visited it twice and was equally impressed on each occasion.

The journey over the scenic Connor Pass was worth it to eat at Murphy’s. Great fish dishes. We had delicious calamari with salad and a smoked salmon sandwich. Staff friendly and helpful. Outside seats for nice days and an ice cream bar in the front...of the pub . Highly recommend.More

Fabulous coffee and a great pint of Guinness. The fire was down so created a nice atmosphere. Toilets were clean and smelled fresh. My partner is coeliac and lactose intolerant and there wasn’t any issues with ordering food and drink. He drank GF ale and...had chicken and chips for his dinner it was delicious!More

Stopped off here just by chance when in the area, found an empty table and dumped cameras on it when we went in to order. Other guest surprised we were so trusting but we knew where we were. Views on a perfect warm day were...wonderful and food was excellent with Crab / Fish and Chips arriving quickly. This was the only think that was quick as our supposed quick lunch lasted 90 minutes as we engaged with other visitors in recounting Covid and life stories. Outside was dog friendly as there were a number and owner remarked his dog had got attended to by a vet so their dogs were safe to mirth from those at tables. Great place in the weather that was there.More

We arrived here starving as we had not intended going out to the Brandon area but nowhere else was open for lunch for miles around. Well we struck gold. We sat looking out over the sea and mountains on a sunny day, a most beautiful...vista. Every single member of staff that dealt with us were charming, attentive and so well trained. The menu was very short but the food was delicious and portions were very generous. We had a mixture of hot and cold fish dishes, all of which tasted so fresh. Why can't all places reach these standards.More

it was a sunny day and we were seated outside. There were lots of very satisfied customers. Service was great and choices terrific. Great place to visit even though located far off the beaten track, well worth the visit.

If in Kerry, stop off in Murphy's of Brandon. I just love this place with its old world charm. Have a bowl of chowder or a fish and chips with a nice point of Guinness. Located on the Northern Side of the Dingle Peninsula about...25 minutes from Dingle, it is worth the trip.More

An authentic setting awaits you at Murphy's. Nothing beats dining & drinking at Murphy's in Brandon. Last weekend four of us immensely enjoyed our visit to Murphy's. The cauliflower bravas, fresh fish and homemade chips, and the goats cheese salad were delicious and very reasonably...priced. The staff were extremely friendly. To wash it down a few pints of Guinness which was what the doctor ordered.! We felt very safe, as strict Covid 19 regulations were in operation and adhered to. The setting was surreal & tranquil looking out at Brandon Harbour. Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.More

What a FIND!!! The best Guinness we've ever tasted. Gorgeous views, relaxed vibe, very tasty lunch of calamari and crab sandwich (so nice having Calamari not hiding behind a thick batter which is so rare!) Can't wait to bring friends and family here to showcase...this gem of a place!More

Murphy’s bar was our last stop on the Wild Atlantic Way road trip. We were not left disappointed; the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the food was to die for (would recommend to try the calamari, fish and chips and the open crab- all...were super tasty) and most importantly the pints of Guinness were the best we had on this trip! We had a great evening chatting away amongst ourselves as well as the owner Paddy who definitely knows how to run a great place! Definitely recommend stopping in and enjoying some delicious food and pints with a great atmosphere!More
