Enjoyed the calamari and salad here. It was excellent with really good sized portions. The salad was very good and had loads of olives. Would come back again.

Great bacon and egg roll and coffee special and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend, it will be my go to breakfast place when I get back on Friday.

Can not believe the attitude of the waitress who greeted us last Sunday. At approx 2pm on a beautiful Sunday afternoon a group of 10 set out for some fish and chips. We arrived at the restaurant to be told we could order but it must be take away as they wanted to close. We asked why we couldn't use... More

Fishes Cafe is a nice place to stop by for fish and chips or burgers. On Sundays might be a bit busy (like all the cafe places in the island). I liked the salad and the calamari rings, they were very good. It's usually pretty crowded. The prices are a bit high, but being in the island, you can't expect... More

Went there with my family on a Thursday night. First thing I was told: " we close in 30 minutes so you might not want to stay". Well, I stayed because it was the only place open and I have to small children... but regretted it. Average food quality, very overprices and a complaining waitress cleaning and putting away tables... More

We go to Straddie every year and Fishes are the most reliable outfit for good quality food. Yes it's the most expensive but in our view well worth it. Keep up the good work Fishes Team!

We paid fifty four dollars for two way below average burgers and some chips. The Italian waitress was obnoxious and arrogant. I can only believe that the owners - who were much more pleasant, even if they couldn't cook - don't use the Internet much. I suppose with their location, there's no need to try too hard. We won't take... More

Right where the bus stop and entry to the North Gorge Walk meet, this Cafe is the go-to place for first-time visitors and lethargic beachgoers who can't be bothered to walk the 120-150 meters to The Blue Room or Look Beach Bar Cafe around the bend, respectively. And these Fishies know it too. Average service, average food and a wallet... More

We dropped in and were the only 2 people in the venue. We went inside ordered and went outside to appreciate the view. As the sat drinking our coffee all I could hear coming from the kitchen was a young man talking about cars ,spinning wheels speeding all of these coupled with the F word as the second word every... Waited 50 minutes for my order (it was supposed to take 35 minutes). 4 very small & very thin pieces of crumbed snapper & chips $75 + 1 grilled snapper $18 (ordered chips but didn't get any!) Totalling $93. All were cold and soggy. Would never buy from here again. It was the only part of Straddie that was disappointing.

Description
Swoon over breathtaking sea views and the salty smell of the ocean at Point Lookout's favourite restaurant. Indulge in the whale rock big brekkie and a side of the island's best coffee. For lunch or dinner dine alfresco with a beer on tap or grab takeaway fish 'n' chips and head to Frenchman's Beach.
