my cousin who is a local in san jose took us to this tacueria so we could have some authentic and quality food. it was the best meal we had in all our trip to mexico. The prices were good too and we have a nice time there. Totally popular with the locals so you know its authentic.

Cheap, fast and good. Lots of locals eat here. Lots of add ons to the taco provided at the table. Tasty.

Stumbled upon this little gem after snorkeling at Playa Chileno. What a great find! Four of us (including our 16yo son) enjoyed a truly yummy lunch and it was around $20 (before tip). My son got the shrimp fajitas special (wow! huge portion) while the rest of us got two tacos each (more like 3-4 each, based on food amount)... More

We asked the staff at our hotel where we could find good local food served in simple fashion and they hit the nail on the head with Fogon! It was my first time seeing how they prepare the pastor and wow is that yummy! It certainly is basic fare, but absolutely delicious and a fun experience. My mouth is still... More

Good service. You can't beat the prices. This place caters to the locals but like every restaurant in San Jose will gladly cash dollars if you don't have pesos. The queso fundido with chorizo is very good. The flour tortillas melt in your mouth. The tacos of arrechera steak are deliciosos. For an authentic taco experience go here.

This is one place you will either like or not like. The restaurant is on a very busy street and parking is in the rear through a very narrow alley. The restaurant is noisy with traffic and the television tuned to the soap operas. The food is okay but not really to my liking. My husband loves it. So it's... More

Went for dinner but would recommend it more as a lunch spot. Rustic with plastic tables and chairs. Ordered shrimp fajitas. Food was plentiful but overcooked.

If you want authentic Mexican food, with quick service, you should try this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised - and it is very inexpensive! It is not licensed to sell alcohol so if you want a drink, you need to have one before you come or after you have a very good meal!

Fagons was the 1st place I had tacos in SJC, and I have been back as a regular for 13 years. Pastors are the best here and wash it down with a sangria in the glass bottle. Also the pozole is wicked good.
