Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had planned to stop at Farren's Bar after we visited Malin Head, but when we arrived they had stopped serving food. The bartender was really nice and recommended we stop at the Seaview Tavern instead. The atmosphere was charming and it was clear many...of the patrons were locals. The food was excellent. The views were beautiful, and the location was right where we needed it to be. I felt like it was a really lucky find.More

Great to catch up with old friends. The Greencastle unit from years ago. A band of brothers. Few beers and great food. Happy to report food and hospitality was ‘Top Notch’ …..apparently the next reunion we’ll need dollars.

I have now stayed at the Seaview Tavern several times. On this trip, I brought friends for their first trip to Ireland. We had a great night of pints with local Malin Head residents in the small grocery store pub. We then had a delicious...meal in the larger pub/restaurant. The rural location of the Seaview Tavern gives some of the best views of the north coast of Ireland right from your room. The rooms are large and clean. The staff of the Tavern are friendly and helpful.More

We ate here on Easter Sunday. The food was excellent, highlight being the Cioppino fish stew, so good! Friendly, professional service from the staff, great Guinness and the view! Hard to beat! Highly recommend

I am a coeliac, they have a dedicated gluten free menu. The food always gets a 10/10 from us. The gf carrot is a must. In fairness I am always too full to eat it there, but as it is so nice I get it..."to go" along with their fresh big crab toes for later. The staff are very friendly and gf aware.More

We went for the fish, assuming it would be fresh. It wasn’t. Some of the worst fish we'd ever been served. Even the straightforward battered fish was unappetising. Also expensive.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Seaview Tavern. We love the location and view. The small local pub attached is one of our absolute favorites. Had pints with local Malin Head residents and a local fisherman. We also had a great...meal in the restaurant. If you are going to Malin Head, stay at the Seaview Tavern. The rooms are large, clean and en-suite.More

After a brisk damp walk at Malin Head teh Seaview was the perfect spot for a nice dinner. The Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, as wel as a nice pint of Guiness. I would go here again when I am in...the area for a fine dinner in a warm friendly place.More

Recommended by our B& B host who booked a table for us, just as well, fairly busy when we got there and remained so most of the night. Some reviews say oldish, dated decor, I think it adds the charm factor to it. Go to...Miami if ya want glass, glitz & contemporary chic. Food menu predominately seafood based. Drinks menu limited, ok beer selection. Service was attentative, food was very good and generous in servings We both enjoyed our mains. Missus had the Hake and I stuck to good old Cod & Chips. Omg , the homemade chips best tryed i Ireland so far- superb. If staying in Malin Head cannot do much better. RecommendMore

Excellent quality food, piping hot, plenty choice, good value and served by friendly staff. What more could anyone ask for? If only all restaurants could be like this!

The bar was not busy. Tried to order drinks at the bar was ignored three times by the senior lady who had short blond hair that was serving , really surprised. The only reason I could offer was I had an English accent, so we...left and went to McCleans in Malin Town which was close to the place we were staying and had a lovely evening and great customer service.More

It’s about a 30 min drive. I don’t know how much a taxi would be. Maybe €40.
