Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bhí bia blasta ar an gCeathrú dúnta agus faraor go raibh mar go raibh orainn dul anseo. Ba mhór an náire é ó thús go deireadh. Bhí an cailín a bhí ag obair ag déanamh gach rud seachas ordú a thógáil uainn cé nach raibh...mórán eile san áit. Tar éis píosa ag fanacht ní raibh aon deochanna ná tada ag teacht chomh fada linn. Ba é sin an tús, tháinig an beatha agus bhí sé dochreidte, agus ní ar bhealach dearfach atá i gceist agam. Bhí barráin caite isteach san uibheagán tar éis é a bheith cócáireáilte, bhí an veggie do-ite agus cuid againn tinn tar éis an áit a fhágáil. Idir an seirbhís náireach, an t-unéir ag súil thart agus í ag tabhairt droch shúil don caife ar fad, an phraiseach go bhricfeasta a tugtha dúinn agus na praghasanna seafóid , ní íocfá muid chun filleadh ar an áit seo.More

We stopped here after the ferry journey from the Aran Islands. Although close to lunchtime it seemed coffee/breakfast was the best option and the salmon bagels had run out. The staff were helpful but a bit harried by the numbers? There is a lovely view...of the sea from the outside terrace and it was good to hear Gaeilge (Irish) being spoken by both customers and staff.More

On our tour along the coast we were looking for a café to take a break. As we did not want to take it out (what would be possible even with a drive in!) we decided to sit inside. Friendly service, welcoming staff and coffee...and a small treat for a good price. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of order, but as we only wanted a mug of coffee and a scone or sth like that, it was ok for us.More

Massive portions. Lovely food My family stopped at this lovely cafe today. We have been there a few times before when we are on holidays and the menu is a little smaller because of current restrictions. But it’s still lovely. The goujons are tasty and...the chips are lovely. The fish is very fresh and salads lovely. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. They even threw in a bit of gaeilge for us. We will be back.More

We called during the last week in August 2020 for a snack and decided to have the Fish & Chips meal. I guess we are only to blame ourselves ( 2 couples ) as we did not check the price beforehand Each "meal" was served...in a small box and to be honest, we all felt that the amount of fish & chips in each box was meagre. Each box had 2 pieces of fish and some chips also. We sat outside on a bench to eat. The fish in fairness was quite good, the chips were nothing special and tasted like frozen chips, but then again, I am no expert on chips ( french fries) The price for each box was €13.00, which we all felt was extortion. It was our own fault, we ordered without checking the price but did expect to pay under €10.00 Will we stop here again, no way ... price gouging is an issue in Ireland and this just took the biscuit, as far as we were concernedMore

Our car broke down last Monday about half a mile up the road from this lovely cafe. the locals were so kind and helpful to us, we might still be stranded there if it wasn't for them! After arriving feeling a bit weary we were...made feel very welcome by the girl working there, she was very attentive and professional. We ordered the chicken curry, it was really good and there was plenty of it. Keep up the good work, looking forward to our next visit.More

Coffee and scones were fine but the lady who owned it was really unfriendly and unwelcoming. Won’t be going back.

We stopped on spec here for a coffee and hot chocolate. As well as full meals they have a range of buns, scones and cakes. Friendly service, good car parking and lovely pictures on the walls!

We had coffee/breakfast at this cafe each morning or our stay in Inverin as or accommodation had limited facilities. The owner (and I'm so sorry I didn't get his name) was so friendly and generous. The coffee was fabulous and the breakfast delicious. I can't...recommend this cafe highly enough. Close to the ferry for the Aran IslandsMore

Stopped in for a late lunch after a lovely walk at Coral Beach. Most restaurants in this area pride themselves on rich tasty vegetable soup and traditional soda bread so I had no hesitation in ordering this. My friend ordered scrambled egg on toast. The...soup was thick, bland and lumpy. Brown bread was good. My friend’s scrambled egg arrived alone on a plate. Waitresses wandered in and out no toast arrived. After 7 or so minutes they said toast was on the way. Maybe 12 minutes after the egg, the toast arrived with no apology. So peculiar. Coffee and tea were fine. Staff at the counter were very defensive when feedback was given.More

As we were all booked on the 12 noon ferry to the Aran Islands, this lovely cafe less that 10 minutes drive from the ferry port, was a great place for our large group to have breakfast. The service was excellent even though we filled...most of the tables and the pot of tea was great. Food was good, although the sausages could have been cooked for a little longer for some, and we were all served quite quickly. Will call again on our next trip to the islands.More

We stopped here for a snack and it was really good . I had Lasagne which came with Chips and was piping hot and so tasty. Lasagnes can be very variable but this one was top notch. My husband had scrambled eggs which were also...lovely. Afterwards we had apple pie and ice cream . Everything was delicious and we will definitely return. Staff helpful and friendly and a great place for a break from driving !More

I visited The Courthouse Cafe with my wife on a drive from Galway. I had a smoked salmon salad and my wife had a nice bacon and cream cheese bagel. No complaints. The staff were friendly and efficient. The facilities were spotless.

This is a long needed addition. The location is just what the traveler ordered. The menu is full, the portions are fair and the price is too. They have a breakfast through sandwiches early evening menu and are open 9-6. The tea is good, the...food fresh. Try this one!!More
