I have to say that the food quality here was the best I've had in San Miguel. We had breakfast here one morning and I had the chilaquiles and they were the best I've ever had ordered them with chicken the quality was fantastic. My friend had scrambled eggs over brioche and also found it to be completely delicious. I... More

After reading so many good reviews about this place we decided to buy croissants and pains au chocolat to take home with us and enjoy with our coffee Sunday morning. We only stayed a couple blocks away. By the time we got home, there was nothing left of the pastries. The chocolate portion of the pains au chocolat was intact... More

Our breakfast was fantastic. The French toast was done perfect, nicely browned with cream and fruit. The waffles were three small one but again perfect and served with cream and fresh berries on top. Next to the restaurant is Panio bakery. It us the best in San Miguel. I stop at every bakery we walk pass and this one I... More

Go to the pastry counter and pick out the ones you like, then let the nice lady know you want it next door and she'll happily oblige. That's what we've done every morning since we got to San Miguel de Allende. We get the 'european' cup of coffee because it seems to be the strongest. The eggs Benedict and croque... More

The restaurant has an excellent food menu of delicious well prepared food, but the portions are small, the excellent steak dish for instance has a small steak with French fries and that's it, but is expensive. The pastries are fabulous as they have their own bakery. Slightly larger portions or lower prices, one or the other if not both, would... More

Great spot right by the Jardin with open windows overlooking Correo. After all the starchy Mexican food, it was great to have a Salad Nicoise. They asked how I wanted my tuna cooked (seared & rare) and that's how it came. Beautiful pesto sauce, anchovies, fresh greens. Yum! Cumpanio is part of the adjacent bakery Panio, one of the best... I and three friends had lunch today and spent such a long time contemplating the menu that we just decided to order several items and share them. We were never each going to settle on a single entree. After finishing our lunch, we decided we had another dilemma. No one could name their favorite dish....we all were so delighted that... More

If a French pastry maker married a Mexican panaderia owner, Cumpanio would be there baby! You won't be able to decide on just one pastry here! We chose the chocolate croissants, the apple tart, the cranberry scone, and the glazed cinnamon bun! Each was beautifully crafted and we enjoyed them all immensely and will return here again and again and... More

Outstanding pastries and eggs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful juices. Have not had dinner but if comparable to breakfast it would be great.
