I've been eating here for years and have found it always consistently great. The reviewer who thought it was mediocre rated other restaurants as great that I think are mediocre EVERY time. Muro is run by generous and warm owners with staff to match. And the food is never ordinary or typical. The chef turns standards into unique expressions of... More

You cant judge a restaurant until you have eaten there several times. I have eaten hear over the years many times and it has always been an quality experience. Have tried everything and its always been good. That more than I can say for most restaurants in SMA. Time and temperature is an huge issue in SMA and nothing here... More

Food was nothing special. Think reviewers are swayed by inexpensive prices. The salads was mediocre, as were the soups. Chile nogales was eh. While the stuffing was good, the pepper was hard. Service was very fast as was the bill. The four of us felt pressured to eat and get out.

This restaurant has delicious Mexican fare as well as a fantastic Muro Salad, and the bread is fresh and warm. There is a daily special if you want to get the best bang for your buck. Gerardo makes you feel special and gives great recommendations if you're having trouble choosing or need to have something veganized. But that's not all.... More

Great atmosphere; excellent service with a smile; personal attention; creative and well crafted meals. Always consistent with surprises based on availability of produce.

Went to Muro several times while in San Miguel. Greeted warmly each time by Gerardo and staff. The service beats anything in a 5 star restaurant. The food is very fresh, flavourful and well prepared. Loved the Mexican breakfasts-Huevos Rancheros, Divorciados, omelettes, campesina and the burgers, chicken mole and salads. The guava jam is excellent and made in house. Buy... More

a great stop for breakfast before wandering the streets. The owner Gerardo is a gem, very friendly and engaged. Popular with both gringos and Mexicans, and a place where repeat customers are recognized and welcomed.

As most others have said, visiting for lunch and having the Menu del Dia is the way to go. The Xocotl soup was excellent especially after we added some of the (very) hot salsa they bring to the table. The pork with orange sauce was also very good - the delicate sauce a nice switch from the flavors of the... More

Food was good, service great, great value for money. Really good for a lunch to fill you up, and quick service. Menu del día is where it's at

If I lived in SMA I would eat here on a regular basis. We had the lunch fixed menu and I thought it was tons of food for a very cheap price. The traditional soup was excellent and I had the stuffed pepper. My husband didn't love the cucumber salad, but all in all it was worth every peso. We... More
