The steak was inedible. Thinking that the manager would like to know for future ordering from the supplier, I was told to be quiet and "go back to your Trump. " We left shaken and shocked as we have traveled extensively in Mexico and have never, ever encountered such rude treatment.

We thought we were going to the restaurant across the street, but alas, we did not make reservations. So, we popped in. It was a little worrysome because we were the only diners. Quickly seated, we were presented with 3 chalkboard menus: regular, special and wines. Great selections of truly gourmet food. It turned out very tasty and reasonable. I... More

The 4 of us had dinner at Chamonix last Saturday, Oct 1, 2016. What a pleasant place - we reserved a table in the courtyard - so charming. The food was excellent. We had: 2x fresh artischokkes stuffed with a dipping - they were huge and very tasty. The tomatoe soup fresh and rich, the goat cheese stuffed portobello mushroom... More

I love the setting, the service and, most of all, the food. Chef Ana Lilia Galindo Chávez is delightful and offers an eclectic menu with Mexican, Spanish and Swiss overtones. The menu, featuring homemade soups and pastas, salads, appetizers and entrees, has become my favorite for lunch. We sat in the charming garden yesterday under umbrellas and enjoyed the light... Four of us had dinner last week at Chamonix. It was mid week so it was quiet. The service, wine choices and food were excellent. We sat in the garden with soft lighting. We had a throughly enjoyable dinner.

Wine and bread were good. Started off with escargo followed by sea bass. Wife had heart of palm salad and salmon fettuccine. All were prepared well by the kitchen and the service was great. We plan to return soon.

Description
Chef Ana Lilia Galindo serves up a globe-spanning menu in Chamonix's cozy, hearth-warmed dining room. The specialty here is the aptly named Swiss fillet— medallions of beef wrapped in ham and cheese. But frequent fliers will also be pleased by traditional Mexican dishes like beef-stuffed poblano chiles, spicy Sri Lankan curry, Vietnamese spring rolls, and an array of fresh pastas. In fine weather, the pretty outdoor terrace is a lovely place to linger.
