Thursday is Burger night and a lot of fun. The gourmet burgers are great and there is live entertainment.

We've been several times. Thursdays are burger night and they offer a wide variety. I have a burger a couple times a year and this is definitely a place to have one. On the regular (not Thursday) dinner menu, the pork chop is fabulous

We had a very good dinner there last evening. Everything was good except or the risotto. It was served cold. Obviously the kitchen did not get the timing down. Nice selection of wines also. Dress warmly if it is cool outside because we were freezing & even had them bring us a portable heater.

This was our second time eating here and we were sad to find it not nearly as satisfactory as the first visit. The margaritas were sub-par and the choices were confusing. The waiter initially pushed their "organic special" but finding it cost $17 US, I declined and chose instead a too sweet and uninteresting pineapple margarita. For the last one... More

Great ambience, pretty nice!!! Good food, We loved the Risotto. Was great for my wife but I prefer a big plate not so much small bits of high cuisine!! Somehow overpriced for my ersonal taste.

Not as expected. Food is ok. But they were rude. Service was really slow and took some time to sit us. It's not a warm environment

If you stay in San Miguel you shouldn't miss this restaurant. For me it is the best of the whole town. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. This is a ground floor indoors restaurant inside of the courtyard of an old mansion, which is nice decorated and gives the meal a special atmosphere. They have terrific wines from... More

We were in San Miguel for a week and had dinner at a different highly recommended restaurant each night. The Restaurant was the best of all. The Chef presents a menu that is creative, locally sourced and delicious. Service was lovely and unhurried but efficient. We loved the herb ciabatta!

Although closer to US than Mexican in pricing, the atmosphere and service are "classy Mexican"! The food is thoughtfully presented, with an automatic assumption of sharing. The duck confit salad rolls were good, but the duck was overwhelmed. The blistered beans were awesome! Who knew something so simple could be so good! The lamb sandwich, ordered with some trepidation with... More

Food is excellent, service is excellent. There are no views, as this is a ground floor indoors establishment. But if you don't need the view, the food is terrific!

THE RESTAURANT, housed in one of San Miguel’s most elegantly colonial settings at Sollano 16, opened in February 2008 featuring Chef Donnie Masterton’s world class cuisine. It is located just steps away from the main square of San Miguel de Allende, the prettiest and most restored/written-about Colonial city in all of Mexico. Offering a full bar, it serves lunch and dinner five days a week in a sun-dappled eighteen century Moroccan courtyard, as well as in their elegant dining salon.Serving global comfort good, THE RESTAURANT’s menu reflects the changing seasons with a focus on the simplicity of fine ingredients. The Chef collaborates with local organic growers, dairy farmers and ranchers to procure the freshest, highest quality and responsibly raised product available. Catering to today’s more experienced, adventurous and health conscious diners, The Restaurant will emphasize quality in food and customer service…as well as a more involved relationship with respect to our food and the land it comes from.
