The food used to be great but now with such a slow service and bad attitude of the servers it's not worth it

Hands down the best hot chocolate in San Miguel. They serve three types we like the Mexican best. You can almost stand your spoon up in the chocolate. Breakfasts are well prepared. Be prepared to wait in line for a table. It is very crowded the waitresses work hard to please everyone.

If you like Mexican Churros, hot chocolate, good coffee etc, this is right place. Just in front of San Agustin church. It is worth it every peso spend.

An early morning stroll led me to this wonderful cafe; the delicious smell drew me in! The hot chocolate and churros are wonderful, but they have many other delicious things on the menu, which I sampled over several visits. Wonderful breakfast items, both savory or sweet, delicious and fresh juices. Friendly staff. Lovely classical music. Totally charming.

If you like hot chocolate & pastries this is the place to go. They are famous for their churros (long this sugar sprinkled "donuts") & dipping they in that slightly spicy Mexican chocolate is to die for! Beautiful place on a busy street with large, open windows to view it all through. A true delight.

We went to San Augustin Chocolates & Churros for a snack of the famous hot chocolate and churros. It was very crowded but we were seated immediately. The tables are extremely close together. The staff was quite busy and I don't think that our server ever looked at us as he quickly took our order. We were also served quickly... More

Took us ages to find a line short enough and organized enough to join! Friday and Saturday nights are hopeless! Arriving before main meal times is key. We stuck with hot chocolate and churros. My Spanish hot chocolate finally hit the memory to hot chocolate drunk in Spain 40 years ago!! So glad we didn't get in earlier in our... More

What an awesome place to get churros, despite the long wait! They've a separate line for takeouts, so that helps. The restaurant has lots of movie posters, dolls and other knickknacks, which by themselves are a feast for the eyes. Looks like the place is good for breakfast as well, but I didn't get to experience that.

We were in San Miguel for 5 days and this place always had a line. The lunch was by far the worst we had in SM with mediocre enchiladas, soup, and service. The churros were good, but you can get them to go. With so many great food options, I wouldn't waste another meal here.
