Went for a drink here last night with my two friends had a lovely night everyone was so friendly.. That was until I told the barman our drinks had been taken off our table by a staff member I’m sure it was an accident but...that barman absolutely roared at me , never been spoken to like that so rude ..He shouted that he was the owner and i should have been looking after my drinks told me to get out and he was done talking to me (happy to take my money do ), will never be back there giltraps was a much nicer pub and nobody shouts at you ..also hasn’t a clue about social distance , Offaly will be rampant again blame that greedy clownMore

Rude owner who sent us packing at 11.03 despite a full house indoors and outdoors. Plenty bad language and agression on display here too. The only blip in our fabulous visit to this lovely village in the heart of the wonderful Slieve Blooms. Will definitely...spend our time in Giltraps Pub next time - staff much friendlier, courteous and well mannered there.More

The pub does good beer, with (from what I remember is a friendly atmosphere). However this time around I inquired about getting a table or seat and was immediately told 'out out out' because i did not have a booking, and the door was slammed...shut behind me. Whilst i appreciate that we must all abide by the rules (which the pub was certainly not doing, because people were congregating in masses inside, but whatever - I was just looking for a table by myself to have a quiet drink), being unpleasant to potential customers is not a good sign.More

We first went on sunday night, it was very lively and full as it was game day. Irish take their games seriously. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. The owner took a picture with us, everyone so friendly, played pool with the locals. Fun!!

We ventured into town from our country stay only to find everything was closed, Keirin opened up early for us and was more then welcoming. He showed us around the bar, gave us some history, and let us try his amazing home brews. He has...a full set up in house and each one is more amazing then the last. With choices of an IPA, a Red Ale and a Stout that you could have as a meal. It really was quite a treat for us to get to experience such a classic Irish bar with Irish hospitality.More

Called into the Slieve Bloom on Friday while staying in the lovely village of Kinnitty. Kieran, the landlord was very friendly and offered us some of his top class craft ales to try (brewed on the premises). The pub and bar staff were great. A...real taste of traditional Ireland. What’s not to like.More

This was the last pub we visited in Ireland before returning to the states. This place is a classic Irish Pub. The owner Kieran Clements made us feel like family. Wish we could have stayed longer! Loved this place.
