After a busy & tired day visiting Mayan ruins & swimming in cenotes, we discovered this wonderful side street in Tulum. Full of busy, good vibe restaurants & a few touristy shops - this street is crying out to turned into a pedestrian mall. We wanted some traditional Mexican food so we chose this one (I was also tempted by... More

I had the tacos de arrachera and were amazing. We also ordered quesadillas and nachos. Not a big fan but were good too.

The food was pretty good but the service was the worst I encountered in my two weeks in Mexico. They have this very odd room out back with a pool table. It doesn't fit in at all. Back to the service. We ordered margaritas twice. Both times they took twenty minutes to arrive. We ordered quesidillas which they completely forgot... More

Because of my upset stomach, I had only one simple plate: grill octupus. Simply perfect, light but very very tasty. It is a crying shame I did not get the change to try more. Also in a good position on a pedestrian area.

Very nice restaurant very well known by locals. Yummi quesadillas at a fair price. Wifi is available for travelers seeking internet connexion. Excellent choice.

I have been here many time before and have had good success. The staff and food have always been dependably good. This visit was not the case. The service was terrible but still had decent food. The waiter simply had a lack of knowledge on proper food service technique but the frustration came when we directed him on what we... More

Simple restaurant on a good location in the middle of Tulum town. Good, quick and personal service. Big meny with genuine, mexican food. We tried the guacamole and fajitas and were very satisfied. Prices are good and the atmosphere is busy and nice. Outside the restaurants there were a band playing music during our visit and next to it there... More

If you want to be in the 'center if it' - this is your place. And restaurants are never busy by chance, right? Combine a nice terrasse in a central location (and being on a pedestrian street helps), good food at reasonable prices, nice and efficient service (given the crowd), and you have the recipe for success and a pleasant... The staff, the swing bar and the location are incredible but only second to the food! Hands down some of the best truly traditional Mexican fare. Please try the ceviche. It's just too good to pass up!!

We were in Tulum for a week, and went to La Malquerida twice. Both times we were very pleased with the food, the timely service, the cozy ambiance. We once had Mexican food, very tasty and authentic, and the second time had the mixed seafood grill (picture attached). Full of great fish, shrimp, octopus. Although they were out of lobster,...
