A local told us about this place and it was so worth the trip. It's on a beautiful secluded beach great for snorkeling and full of palm trees and hammocks. They have the BEST ceviche ever, it had an entire lobster in it! The fried fish is for real, you can see the guy frying the fish in a big... More

When I read about a "secret" beachfront restaurant I knew it was a must see for my visit to Tulum and it did not disappoint. Turn at the sign for Jashita hotel, follow the dirt road around the bend, proceed through the guard shack, continue down the long and bumpy drive past the private villas and like a pot of... More

Want to know where to eat when abroad figure out where he locals and in country vacationers go, and that place would be Chamico's when in the Tulum area. Chamico's has a simple menu and is setup on the sandy beach of beautiful Soliman Bay. Hidden away it's busy but never slammed like the cantinas of Tulum and Akumal, but... More

I think I went into this with too high expectations based on the reviews here and elsewhere which semi ruined a good experience. I was expecting a mostly deserted beach, with beautiful sand and water, great food, and relaxed atmosphere. You know, that mythical amazing beach bar that only a very few know about. Well some of that was true.... More

We had lunch at Chamico's twice in our trip to Tulum in December. Menu was simple and food was ok. They have a spicy cocktail with beer which was good. The best for us (family with 3 kids) was the beach. It is shallow even pretty far and lots of sea animals to see. If you like to snorkel, make... More

If you are looking for white tablecloths and fine crystal.....do not come to Chamico's. However, if you are looking for a unique spot on a beautiful sandy beach this is it. The plastic tables and chairs had to the ambiance. Sit back....enjoy the "acceptable" food and watch beauty unrolled before your eyes.....

Stop here for a stunning pristine beach covered with hammocks and tables with attentive staff to serve large portions of ceviche and enjoy a cold beer. not good for bad weather, i didn't see any covering, all tables are out in the sand under palm trees. i had the pina colada, that was also quite good and my friend had... We spent the day at the beach in front of Chamico's. If you eat there, they allow you to use the beach chairs out front. I was not as excited about the food as some others. It was OK but I'm not very adventurous as others when it comes to food. My wife is very adventurous and she felt the... More
