Over the new years holidays, We were staying in a nice remote area of Tulum near Casa Cenote restaurant (10 minutes north of Tulum) We had four first hand experiences with with the owner of casa cenote restaurant. Three out of four were rude.

I love this place, the owner works hard to make sure it's top notch. We also enjoyed the Texas Style BBQ buffet on Sunday -- not to be missed! We tried a lot of various menu items over the week, they were all outstanding. The pico de gallo is so fresh and the drinks are amazing! The margarita is one... More

We enjoyed the Texas Style BBQ buffet on Sunday and other items from the menu while enjoying the oceanfront breeze. It was not crowded and it looked like a great place to linger for snorkeling, swimming or exploring the cenote across the street. We will spend more time there on our next trip.

Wow, we found it. I loved it the first time we went there back in December 2002. The food was just as it was back then. We love it and can't wait to go back again in 2014, last visit was 2013. We are in love with with this place. Highly recommended!!! Restraunt faces the beach and behind the building... More

We did discover scuba here at casa cenote with our dive instructor Jesus, his buddy and his little black dog Moschita (who couldn't come with us). Great fun and we got cool pictures and videos for about 50 USD from a local photographer called Ernesto Ortega who did a great job.

We had stopped somewhere and asked a cab driver what he recommended and he said this in addition to the Barracuda. Greeted by extremely pleasant staff, who insisted on standing within ten feet of us in case we needed anything, which was nice. They gave us successful recommendations, one of which was mine, the fish filet (do not confuse with... More

We had 2 lunches and 1 breakfast at Casa Cenote. The Margaritas are the best we had on the entire ten day trip! The food is good and we are very sorry we missed the Sunday evening BBQ as it definetly looked like it would have been fun! Gary, the owner, is very personable and made time to sit with... More

My wife and I stayed at the Casitas at Casa Cenote. The room was great with plenty of cool air. Step off your patio, onto the beach and into the water in about 30 steps, fantastic. The food at the restaurant was great. To be able to sit and relax with good food is amazing. The restaurant is very close... More

We went twice on our last trip. Once after a HOT excursion to Chichen Itza and another for lunch after a few hours at the beach. Both times we just needed a cold drink, something to snack on and a cool breeze with a great view. Love the chips/salsa and Nachos. Kids loved the chili cheese fries. We all loved... More
