Very pleasant patio seating with great service (thank you, Thomas). Salad and seafood were fresh and delicious. Tuna tostada and shrimp with cucumbers in lava rock bowl were outstanding.

Big menu, Great fish tacos, and chicken fahita, and very friendly, fun, and good service. This is right next to el fogon, but the food is as good and service is far better.

Was in playa del carmen for the week and Chiltepin quickly became our favorite spot! The food and drinks were amazing and the service was first class. We made some great friends here and it was probably our favorite part of our vacation. We couldn't...More

Highly recommended. We came here for dinner. Prices were very affordable. I had a huge shrimp cocktail (120 pesos, around $6) and 2 tacos (22 pesos each, around $1.17usd ) and I was already full. Palomas are delicious (65 pesos each, around $3.40 usd). My...More

Well, we have visited and eat in so many fish places around our trip to Mexico. This is by far the best. Octopus is fabulous especially the one on the grill ( outside of the menu). A must visit in Playa.

THIS HAD BEEN PROVIDED EVERYWHERE ELSE WITHOUT A PROBLEM, Then after finishing our somewhat disappointing...More

I have lived in playa del Carmen for 16 years. I am from Minnesota and my daughter is Mexican and basically so am I. Anyhow I have bartended in this town for 16 years and always the tax is included as the Mexican laws require. I am not cheap and always tip 20%. I love your restaurant and have recently introduced a lot of people to it. I think the food is amazing, the service is impeccable and the prices very reasonable which makes me assume the owners are smart people. On the other hand I see there is a 15% IVA (so called tax) which by law is suppose to be included so please help me understand why such a smart owner would provide their staff with a stamp that say says "tip not included" please explain this to me because after 16 years in this business I feel like I am getting screwed. Thanks and I will wait for your response before I go or send anyone else there.
