My friend and I were walking around the side streets trying to find dinner at a reasonable price when we were drawn like flies to a banner saying "two margaritas for 100 pesos". We were so impressed with the food and the service we ended up returning the following night as well. All of the food was very tasty and... More

My wife and I needed somewhere close to eat for lunch on a rainy day and La Patrona de Playa was the closest to our condo so glad we tried it. We split the crispy chicken tacos and they were very good great flavor and with a couple of beers it was plenty. On a rainy night we went back... More

Staff were awesome, the food was amazing. Wish I didn't have to travel so far to eat here. Tonnes of stuff on the menu I would have tried.

We wanted to taste something local and found this place which was exactly what we were looking for. The place was crowded but that even enhanced the atmosphere. Delicious meal and big portions is what you are going to get.

After spending the day at Xel-ha we wanted to eat dinner in town before heading back to our resort. We have star driver for a recommendation. He first recommended El Fogon, but we'd already eaten there (delicious) and wanted to try somewhere new. He took us to a place called Don Sirloin, but as the three of us are from... More

We ended up eating there 3 nights and couldn't fault it. Lovely food, quite traditional and very good service, not queues on an evening, drinks very good value too.

We were thinking about eating at another restaurant on Ave. 10th, but we decided to try La Patrona, as we have passed it by other times. It was just before 11 am, and they were open, as they still had breakfast operating. We chose chicken enchiladas and horchata, and coffee, fruit, and an omlette (cheese and bacon). Both were a... Long waiting time, service quality: average. We came expecting to taste traditional Mexican flavors but found overcooked and burnt meat. We had different dishes and all of them where tasteless. You can find better cochinita pibil, chorizo, burritos and tacos elsewhere. Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't.

This place is on the corner of 10th ave and 12th street. Staff were super friendly. We had a couple of margaritas and ordered some tacos. Wow were we blown away. The drinks were delicious and the food was amazing. We loved it so much we went back to more times. Our bill was never more than 375 pesos ($25... More
