While visiting Playa we were strolling down 5av and noticed Mandarina's. We decided to give it a try. Should have known something since this place only had a few tables filled. It was one of those meals that I couldn't wait to be over. The service was poor, the food bland and very overpriced. During our stay in Playa we... More

Eating here was literally like a horrible wedding.... it was worse than the pasta station at a cocktail hour. When my fathers food came, my mom said "that looks awful." It was. Gelatinous would have been good compared to the pasta my aunt received. It was like bland cream, penne and bacon bits. She dipped spongey bread in my dad's... More

Very very poor, looks great from the outside should of realised why is wasn't busy compared to other restaurants. My partner had the butternut squash pasta dish which was inedible, way too much cheese, tasteless and runny. Whilst I had the duck which was dry and tough. I ordered some sparkling water which came as 2 ridiculous small sized bottles... More

We went to this restaurant because we were looking for our favorite restaurant from last visit and when found our restaurant no table for us, so we walked on 5th avenue street and bumped into this mandarin's cafe. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 kids. Food was mediocre. Service was with no smile or anything. Manager also... More

Where do i start. i often walked past and wondered why a place with such an ambience was always empty. I should have known better but my god daughter wanted to eat there. Drinks terrible, banana smoothy with green bananas. Lemonade with sugar when ordered without , new lemonade was a strange tasting cordial.... No olive oil or pepper offered... More

This is a gorgeous little restaurant with wonderful waiters, good food, but really very bad management. They provide you with a receipt that says you must write to an email address to get your factura (an indispensable tax document required in Mexico for business tax purposes) and you'll get it the same day. Jeez! what a nightmare it is to... More

We sat down, ordered drinks for the table. Waitress forgets about two of them, we remind her, she only brings one. Doesn't ever bring the second, yet still tried to charge us for it. Pastas were inedible. Covered in thick, disgusting sauce and we couldn't taste the fillings. Lasagna was just ground beef with no pasta!! AVOID!!!!

We had walked by Mandarina's several times while in Playa, and we always admired its warmth and elegance from La Quinta Avenida. The soft lighting, with the neutral and black and soft white decor always seemed so romantic and elegant. On this trip, we finally decided to go there for dinner, and as were craving pasta, we thought it would... More

Tourist trap, not worth it at all. Overpriced. Good reviews should be family of the owner. Do not go here

We enjoyed the experience for xmas eve dinner, with lobster tail and rib eye steak. The food was good although the lobster tail was small. They mixed up the time of our reservation, however, they were able to accommodate us. We had to insist on the table we wanted which we enjoyed the location of tremendously.
