I stopped in for a bowl of soup - it was very good soup! I have not tried other things but if you are in the mood for a really nice bowl of soup - I recommend you give this restaurant a visit. I will return to try other things on the menu in the future, but for now -... More

This was our third visit to La Tradición and the first time to the location opposite Santa Lucia Park on Calle 55. They don’t offer parking, but there are plenty of lots on Calles 60, 62 and 55. When we entered (on a Saturday at 2.30 pm) the place was empty, which was a bit strange, but as we knew... More

The food and staff at this restaurant were wonderful. The conchinita pibil I had here was the best of our entire Yucatan experience. Very flavorful, not too salty, very tender. Highly recommended!

We were charged $60 Peso TAX on our $415 peso food bill. Last year all taxes were supposed to be included in the price. Has the law changed. If yes, I will re-write this review

The first bad sign was no one in the restaurant at 7 pm, and only 2 more tables taken by 9:30 on a Saturday night. This restaurant had been recommended to us by 2 people, so we stuck with it. We were hustled into ordering by a not cordial in the true sense waiter (who had no other customers) and... More

This was our first meal in Merida. The food was excellent and the service was ok. The reason for not giving 4 stars was the exchange rate. At the time we visited, we had only been in Mexico for a couple of hours & hadn't visited an ATM. The only gave 11 to 1 for the U.S. Dollar, while banks... More

Just to clarify, the food tastes and looks decent. The problem came a couple of hours after our visit when 4 out of 5 members in our party got food poisoning (one of them ended at the hospital) and we all had different things. Also the waiters were in a hurry to go home since it was Sunday afternoon 5... More

We had a very nice meal - a turkey and a pork dish, with a couple of much appreciated cold beers. We arrived late in the evening, and the place was shutting down as we left but we were not rushed out the door. I agree with an earlier reviewer about the ambience - it's quite plain, but the food... Everything was the way it was supposed to be, large portions of well made food. Beer was icy cold and brought quickly on a steaming warm evening visit. Greeted at the front door by smiling staff and looked after in a friendly efficient way all through our meal.
