It's a Robbery, exchange rate it's 11mx to 1 usd ,like in 2010 it's 2016 it's should be 19 to 1 ,plus the food is so average do not recommend, make sure you travel with mxn pesos other wise you will be ripped off.

This charming restaurant, with its attentive meseros (waiters), serves excellent Yucatecan dishes. We had the Poc-chuc de pollo and Poc-chuc de cerdo, a specialty of the house. Both were excellent and filling, but the restaurant serves so many great Yucatecan dishes – especially the Mucbil pollo – that we’ll have to come back. We visited on a holiday-day, so the... More

Perhaps Los Almendros is not modern or on a main street, but this place is traditional Yucatecan fare. The service is impecable and the food is amazing. We had queso relleno, poc chuc and salbutes. For pudding, the flan is a must. It seems to me this place is where Merida families have enjoyed birthdays, weddings, baptisms and all sorts... More

A short distance removed from busy Calle 60 and adjacent "centro" locations, this Los Almendros (not to be confused with others, similarly named) is a delightful location to sample Yucatecan gastronomy. The menu lists the usual suspects (salbutes, cochinita pibil, puc-chuc, queso relleno, etc.) but the preparation and presentation are a cut above other "typical" restaurants in Merida. Our favorite... More

Excellent food good service. Frequented primarily by locals vs. tourists. Ordered Poc Chuc, very flavorful. Recommended.

Extensive authentic Yucatan menu. I had the house special, Poc Chuc, which was a delicious marinated thin cut of pork grilled and served with pickled onions, hot pepper salsa and some of the best tortillas I have ever tasted. The accompanying beans were good, they are almost like a bean soup. Price was excellent, about $60 US including tip for... More

This restaurant serves the best cochinita pibil i have tried in Merida. We had a very agreeable meal here, all the food we had was excellent, it was a little bit long but it was because it was all freshly prepared. I highly recomend it if you want to try good mexican food.

We enjoyed the character of this established place. Best food, according to many local friends. Our waiter was awesome, very engaging and interesting. Portions were perfect(large), very tasty.

This is a great place to eat. Everything I tried was wonderful. I am struggling to recommend something but i just can't: salbutes, sopa de lima...just order a "combinado yucateco" so you may try different things. Please notice that, in the Fiesta Americana hotel lobby there is another Los Almendros. Although that one is not bad, the one in the... More

Stopped in to have a quick bite to eat and this place has excellent food & service! Had the panucho turkey tostada along with a Jamaica drink, for desert Papaya con quezo! I recommend this place for family and any occasion. Happy eating!
