This place came highly recommended. It was hard to find initially (by walking) but when we did it was closed. We tried again another evening, but it was closed again? No answer, anyway.

It just seems that every plate is a speciality in La Tradición. Warm welcome prompt service and the coldest beers ever. We go every time we visit Merida.

The chef, a local celebrity who has taken local cuisine internationally, has rescued his grandmothers Yucatecan recipes. True, vibrant flavors.
