My partner and I came here for breakfast to treat ourselves. I found out about the hacienda on the Yucatan Today website. We each ordered eggs benedict - one with serrano ham and basil hollandaise, the other with smoked salmon and Chipotle hollandaise, coffee and tea. We shared half of our plates for fear of missing out on the other... More

Situated in a quaint little village just north of Merida, here we had a wonderful, leisurely lunch with excellent service, delicious food and a nice bottle of wine! Be sure to put this on your agenda on your visit to Merida, you will be so glad you did!!

After all the research I did and all the reviews on TA and elsewhere saying this was the best restaurant in Merida, we could not have been more disappointed. We know that the best food in Mexico is the casual local eateries and we are realistic about what to expect at a more formal restaurant. However, this meal was not... More

We made a dinner reservation through the trip advisor website and a direct link to open table. I received an email confirmation with the reservation. When we got to the restaurant the maitre d’ Angel said they didn’t have our reservation and they said they were fully booked. they absolutely could not accommodate us either inside or on the patio.... We had a lovely brunch here on our way from Merida to Valladolid, the property is beautifully renovated and after brunch one of the staff gave us a tour of the grounds and the hotel which was well worth staying for.

Bad service, took over two hours to get cold eggs. Waiters were rude and unprofessional. What a shame that a nice hacienda is under such poor management. Prices are the only five star restaurant characteristic. Not recommended.

After seeing the ruins at Dzibilchaltun, we had an early dinner at Hacienda Xcanatun. This restaurant/hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the service is top-notch. My son and I ordered ceviche, which was delicious, but not quite a meal (more of an appetizer). My husband ordered the filet mignon, which was tender and delicious -- cooked perfectly, and our daughter ordered... More

If you are driving back from Celestune to Merida, this will be on the way. A great place to stop for a coffee - and get a feel for how rich life would have been back in the days. This is also a hotel - haven't seen the rooms - but could imagine they would be lavish.

Wonderful food & service in a delightfully elegant hacienda setting. I like to imagine myself as the chatelaine living in this fabulous mansion.
