The waiters are very nice and know good english. Their costumes are somewhat funny and entertaining. There are too many decorations in the restaurant and they're all too cheesy. The place is also very dark, it was quite hard to read the menu actually. The cocktails were quite good. The worst thing was the food. The bread from the sandwiches... More

OK so there are some comments on the waiters wearing outsize Sombreros but you can live with that for the quality of the food. The main dining area is in an outdoor courtyard and the walls are decorated with revolutionary photos and propaganda in keeping with the name (Pancho Villa). Food is tapas style in the main and is good... More

The place is really nice and beautiful and the service is great. The food and drinks are okay but a little pricey.

We were lured here by the promise of fire shows with drinks and dishes and ended up at a bar there with two for one drinks that tasted like sugar water. I doubt there was a drop of alcohol in anything we drank. Felt bloated and bad from the sugar. This place is a tourist trap. Don't go here!

We went to Pancho's twice for the happy hours and once for dinner. The waiters for the Happy Hours were extraordinary...they took the time to talk to us and have friendly discussions in an English/French/Spanish language. It was extremely pleasant. And the gallery of pictures/paintings in the front of the restaurant is very nice.

This restaurant/bar/gift shop one block north of Plaza Grande is decorated with Pancho Villa and Freda Kahlo themes. The restaurant tables are in a pleasant courtyard at the back. The menu is small but everything on it is good. Service is friendly and efficient.

Easy to walk past Pancho's. Don't! Go in. All the way to the back. What a great setting! Super service. Great food and drinks. Reasonable pricing. Great place to have just a drink...or a full meal...and take your time. Make it to Pancho's in Merida!

The food is good, tastes and portions are "European " compared to cheaper eats. Meaning that the presentation of plates is nice, portions are small, and flavors are missing the fiery Mexican something .. Definitely a touristy place, with good ambience. Not for us, but perhaps a good hit for others.

The owner of the hotel where we stayed in Tulum suggested this restaurant to us. I am always skeptical of such recommendations, but since it turned out that Pancho's was just two streets from our hotel in Merida, we tried it and wow! we were happy we did. As other reviewers have said, from the street, the restaurant does not... More

Wow! What an incredible find. This had the best ambience of any restaurant we visited in Merida. The food was great too. Service was okay but could have been better. Felt like we were forgotten somewhere along the way and had to get another servers attention. Regardless, it is a restaurant you do not want to miss.
