Came here for dinner on our first night on the island. The power was out on the whole island but fortunately they cooked and made drinks by candle light. We had painkillers and margaritas and they were STRONG. So watch out if you don't like your drink to taste like it's got lots of alcohol in it. We went on... More

Small dive, but fun. Drinks are very strong and cheap. Everyone in the bar ends up chatting with everyone. They serve one meal per day, check the board outside to see what it is.

My husband and I have been visiting Soggy Peso since they opened. We will be arriving on Isla January 21st and can't wait to get back there. If syromfoam cups offend you, go to an All-Inclusive in Cancun. Isla is not meant for those seeking luxury and pampering. It is a down to Earth Island that is extremely relaxed. The... More

There were so many recommendations to visit this bar and have the strong margaritas. We went the day after my husband had gotten some sunburns and wanted to spend some time out of the sun, and this was a great place to spend the afternoon! Despite reading the reviews, I wasn't really prepared for having to elbow my way up... More

Strongest margaritas ever, nightly food specials change each night. We had fajitas. So good. Bring bug repellent for your legs, while dining. Restaurant closes at 8pm. Go early.

Best margarita on the island. Great setting . A fun place to be! Everyone there is super laid back. We didn't try the food only because we had just had lunch but it was getting rave reviews from the dinners.

Always worth a quick stop at the Peso for a strong margarita. Lots of ex-pats reading the paper at the bar and trading stories. A few young kids getting hammered on drinks at a table. A worthy stop on your golf cart tour of Isla. If you're driving, i wouldn't recommend more than one margarita. Better yet, grab a cab... More

Those that travel to Isla Mujeres on a regular basis already know all about Soggy Peso. It's like the secret place to hang out. All the Isla-Regulars know all about Soggy. It's like a secret place for the cool Kats. The minute you walk in, you immediately feel like you're in a local bar back home, where friends gather, drink,... More

Bet you can't limit yourself to just margaritas. Food choices are limited but everything they serve is good. Ambiance is unique and entertaining. Bring something with the name of your home town to donate to the decor!
