We went there after reading some recommendations on tripadvisor. The place is small and super nice, the waiters gave us a great feeling and new exactly what to suggest us within the mood we were at(steaks). We went there one more time before leaving Isla.

Vivian, the owner of Qubano(the BEST Cuban restaurant on Isla Mujeres), told us that Bastos was worth the $3 cab ride to Bastos, and we’re so glad we took her advice. We love beef, tried it all over the island, but just as Vivian said,...More

I love traveling because it's fun to hang out at someone else's neighborhood joint and eat like they do. Bastos is not about decor and there is no pretension that they are about anything else but hearty food seasoned well. My husband ordered the steak...More

We are 2 vegetarian girls, we took 2 quesadillas - it was way too much! The meal was really big, and so tasty! We got for snacks before the meal free tacos and salsas. The service was wonderful. We will defenetly come here again.

I had the garlic shrimp and my wife had a fish dish. Both were excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Bastos is off the beat and path but well worth finding. Service excellent.

It would probably run you 400-500 pesos. In today's dollars, 22-25 USD.
