If you want a cozy spot with authentic dishes, this is a great choice. Staff was friendly and food was good.

Amazing traditional decor, and friendly local people run the restaurant. The food is the standard fare of the local area, we got some enshaladas. We may have chosen safely from the menu and missed something amazing, but overall was not impressed by the food which caters to the Cancun tourist. It's on a busy road where each bite is interrupted... More

Out of our regular area, so a tough place to get the wife to walk to, but worth it. Based on reviews I had read, we ordered the lime soup, conch ceviche and garlic shrimp. All were very good but the lime soup was extra special. Loaded with chicken and great flavor. I removed some of the tortilla chips so... More

Seems like a local joint but definitely an expat haven. Great tap beer served in lovely ceramic glasses. Awesome fresh fried chips, huge servings. Specialty in seafood... excellent ceviche, amazing chicken mole. Inexpensive great quality slower service.

This was always a fun stop when we had friends visiting. Take the ferry from Cancun, rent a golf cart, tour the island, and end the afternoon at La Lomita, which bills itself as a neighborhood loncheria (lunch spot). Sadly the food and service have slipped during the past 2 years. The beer is just as ice cold and refreshing,... More

Excellent food, very economical prices, and great margaritas. What more can youmask for? I had the garlic shrimp and they were out of this world!

Favourite place to eat on the island. It's one of those smaller family restaurant. People are super friendly and the food is simply delicious. I had huevos rancheros, enchiladas de camarones, chicken fajita. It's also decently priced. A really nice break from touristy restaurants as well.

Loved the chilli relleno. Small place with big heart. Classic and authentic. Kids enjoyed it too and the owner is quite the character.

We stopped by this little gem for take-out and, my god, the food is delicious. If you walk behind the restaurant - along the sea wall - there are women cooking behind La Lomita out in the open. Very rudimentary kitchen which explains why the food tastes like you're visiting someone's home. Highly recommend.

In the restaurant we stopped on the way back to the hotel. Interesting exterior and not so the interior of the restaurant. Choice of food is very interesting. It helps if you understand Spanish. Seafood is excellent.
