Somewhat hard to find. Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Don't expect to find tacos and burritos. This is not Tex-mex. Cook was kind enough to prepare special meal for one of us with a sensitive stomach. My steak Mexican style was somewhat spicey, but I like spicey. Tell the local boys they don't need to watch/protect your car. It will... More

The food was amazing and reasonably priced with a local and authentic atmosphere. The owner was incredible and the servers were very nice. We will definitely return during our visit in Cozumel and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried this place because of the good reviews and they earned one from us. It is a bit off the beaten path but worth the taxi ride. We had the zacharius sampler platter and everything was great! Would recommend this as a destination dinner in Cozumel.

Ok, that title may not get you to visit this wonderful restaurant on it's own, but once you meet Ray, you will understand. This man is the most genuine human I have ever met, full of life and a passion for everything he does. He is a joy to be around! Listening to him describe the Daily Special will make... More

We took a taxi from our north side condo to El Moro. It cost about $5 USD. We'll worth the trip. Ray greeted us with a huge smile and served us. He answered our questions about different items. We ordered guacamole and it was delicious. For our main course we had shrimp fajitas and Empapilliote Shrimp. The fajitas were very... More

Had another great dinner here at El Moro. Wonderful garlic grilled grouper! So fresh and tasty. Enjoyed the chips and salsa too and a gigantic pina colada. Always friendly service and they are so hospitable. A favorite with divers and locals too. Great prices and I know we will return soon!

I took a family of 8 adults. I was worried because we had a few picky eaters but everybody send the plates back clean. It's difficult to find but ask the locals, they will help you.

The chicken yucitan style was delightful. Our party of 6 each had something different and all was delicious. A bit noisy but well worth it.

Best little secret on Cozumel Island!! We've been traveling to Cozumel for over 20 years and there is nothing better than hitting El Moro's and seeing Ray and the family every time we visit! If you want to try the baby lobster tails I recommend you call the night before, however sometimes we've gotten lucky and they have some. Family... More

El Moro doesn't look like much when enter but wow our impression changed as soon as we met Ray. He took great care of our party of four. We had a 12 oz lobster tails that were wonderful and the mango margarita's were awesome! The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious.
