MANGLAR BUFFET RESTAUTANT, Cancun

Santiago was always waiting for us in the morning. There was 7 of us and he made sure our table was ready as I am sure he does for every guest. What a pleasure.

Cancun vacation 2022

My wife and I just came back from a wonderful vacation at the Moon Palace in Cancun. We were there from 01/29/2022 thru 02/05/2022 We brought our two adult children, and their partners, and we all had a great time. We have been vacationing at...the Moon Palace for over 10 years and each time it gets better. The weather was great (low to mid 80's) and the resort is beautiful. What makes the Moon Palace extra special for us is the staff. Over the years we have made friends with many of the staff, especially those at the “El Manglar” restaurant at Nizuc. What is amazing to us is that with all the people that pass thru this restaurant each year, many of the staff remember us from year to year. Everyday Elsy, the chef at the omelet grill, makes my breakfast. She remembers what I like and gets things started for me as soon as I get in line. She is always so warm and friendly. It is a great way to start my day. Miguel Yah works the evening shift at El Manglar and has been taking care of us for years. Every year he and his friends prepare a special dinner for us on our last night. It is the highlight of our trip. This year Miguel Yah, Fabiola Ay and Jesus Garcia took care of the six of us for dinner. The head waiter for the evening was Alejandra Luna and the chef was Oldner Zacarias. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were exceptional. We were not dining in a restaurant with strangers. We were having dinner with friends. Best service!

Orlando Hza, Rode Cruz, and Frenanda Mondragon blew us away at the mangler. They were very attentive and our 6 year old daughter adored them. If staying at the nizuc and going to the buffet I would recommend this trio they were excellent! Nizuc staff...is incredible.More

Great variety and great tasking food plus awesome covid-safety protocols

We enjoyed our meals at the buffet. And we were especially happy to see the resorts sanitizing efforts - every person approaching the food area is asked to be wearing a mask and to receive hand sanitizer every time. This policy was very reassuring and...helped me to relax and enjoy the good food.More

The very best in Moon Palace

The best service, food & ambiance in Nizuc! My family loves having breakfast here, everything starts with Eduardo (The Manager) greeting you at the door, you already feel the warmth of the people, then you are seated and the service starts with the great team...of servers; Javier, Carlos and Inocente, this guys are the very best, is either you order them the food or they help you with from the buffet, then if you want the best omelette definitely ask Antonio or Elsy, these chefs know how to cook anything, I love pouched eggs they make it incredibly well… The food at the restaurant is super fresh, the fruit amazing, if there’s something you like and you don’t see it, they’ll get it for you… I’ve been in many restaurants for breakfast and i’m not a fan of buffet style but this, this is something else! Try it you won’t be disappointed and don’t forget to ask for Eduardo, Javier, Carlos, Inocente, Antonio or Elsy.. what a team to have such passion for what they do at their job..!More

So many choices!

Orlando Itza and Fernanda Mondragon are the dynamic duo of this place! Efrain was also really funny and they all took great care of my family, even when the kids dined on their own. The various buffets are delicious and I'm missing the incredible salmon...station right now!More

Just okay

The food was good but for people with dietary restrictions especially vegan, vegetarian it was not accommodating. They had vegan pancakes on the menu but the staff had no idea what it was or how to make it.

Great dinning experience

The service was top notch and our waiter ( Alejandro Velazquez) was very good!! my entire stay there I made sure I asked for him! Great staff is always a PLUS for me and makes the dinning experience so much better. The food isn't a...buffet style due to covid, but everything was made to order Fresh and was delicious!!!More

No a Buffet but Just a fabulous!

We are here and due to Covid, all buffets are closed. So Manglar uses the menus to provide you a made to order delicious meal. The added touches to make your meal special include a bike that delivers pastries to your table and the cart...to make you a tasty street taco. So do not fret, your meal will be delightful! Our waiters were very attentive.More
