I asked our English speaking waiter if the restaurant had any US dollars. He came back and said, "No. Most people pay with credit card." I thought he misunderstood my question. So, in spanish, I told him that we were going to pay with our...credit card. However, I would like to know if they had any US dollars any place in the restaurant. He asserted that they had no US dollars at all. I asked to see a manager. The manager also confirmed that Navios did not even have 1 US dollar bill on site. I asked if they had a US quarter, dime, nickel, or penny? He unequivically said that they did not. Folks, the food was good. The views were excellent. The service was fine. But, the waiter and manager lying that the restaurant did not have any US dollars , likely because they thought I wanted US dollars in change if I was paying cash, is unacceptable. I actually wanted to change out a $100 US bill into US 20's [60 to the waiter and 20 to the guy who took our pic] to give our waiter and another staff member who took nice pics of us a well deserved tip in US dollars. Neither got a dime. We paid our bill using our credit card, And left. No tip for anyone. Believe me, if I would had found the same manager, after we paid our bill with a credit card, that said they had NO US dollars on site and told him I needed some US 20's to tip the waiter and guy who took our photo, miraculously, 5 x 20 dollar bills would had appeared. Food?- Too much garlic on everything, especially the mashed potatoes. But great quality food, We had octopus, filet mignon, and lobster. Bring a credit card. And don't expect anyone at this restauarnt to tell the truth. Enjoy the great view, And bring some tums to help digest the very fresh and ccoked well but overly garlic seasoned food. Defintely a 4+ star restaurant. However, it is like a billion dollar beautiful mansion that has termites. I think lying is normal for Mexicans.More
